The call of the calas!

Cala Llombards
@laurenfalcon
This was one of my favorite beaches in Mallorca! Not only is there is moderate sized area of sandy beach and many more large rock outcroppings to sun bathe on but there is a small group of boat houses that backdrops one side of the beach. There is a beautiful small coastal walk that stretches high above the beach. There is also an area which intrepid travelers can cliff jump. There is one snack bar on the beach. A small parking lot close to the beach.

Playa Cala Gran
@laurenfalcon
Cala D'Or is a family friendly beach by day and then by evening is a bit more of a young adult scene. There are 2 eateries and bars on the beach. But if you want to venture into D'or there are plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops in the square. There is street parking here. Along the right side of the beach, you can walk a bit of the ways to a more secluded area.

Cala Deià
@laurenfalcon
Cala Deia is magic! It can be difficult to access if parking near the bottom is full. There is parking at top but then this is a 1mile walk downhill. This beach is very rocky and pebbly. Highly recommend watershoes but be wary of she slippery rocks. There are two restaurants down here. If staying at La Residencia, they offer a shuttle. There is a fabulous hiking trail in Deia here too. Of note, there can be some fully nude swimmers though. I have seen this once out of the few times I have been here.

Towns to visit or stay in

Deià
@laurenfalcon
This is a charming (& hilly) town known formerly as a hamlet for artists. Set up on a hill, driving through the town offers gorgeous views of cliffside & peeks of the ocean. But, I'm recommending you stay overnight here. You can base here to explore other small towns I'll detail below. There are delicious restaurants, luxury accommodations, and boutique shopping. Plus, one of my favorite beaches.

Sóller
@laurenfalcon
You can check the cute orange and yellow tram thought the town of Soller or stand nearby in the square to snap a picture as it passes. You can take a separate train from Palma to here if you don't have a car. In late May/early June there is an orange festival where you'll celebrate all things citrus! You can meet a bike tour through the mountains, begin a hike, or visit the Soller train station art gallery with Picasso ceramics & a Miro exhibition.

Valldemossa
@laurenfalcon
I did not think I would enjoy this town as much as I did! But it is easily walkable with quaint restaurants and a beautiful viewpoint of the valley.

Cala d'Or
@laurenfalcon
With its calm waters, sandy bays, and family-friendly vibe, Cala d'Or is an easy-going alternative to Majorca's more popular resort destinations. You can stroll around the town shopping or snacking on delicious food! I have a few recommendations below.

Palma
@laurenfalcon
Known for its beach, it also has a fascinating historic quarter. The Cathedral, the Almudaina Palace, the Lonja fish market and Plaza Mayor are some of the sites that are well worth visiting. The most beautiful monuments are surrounded by fishing boats, pine forests and palm trees. Highly recommend doing a formal food tour that will also dive into some of its history.

Manacor
@laurenfalcon
On the opposite side of the island from Palma, you can base at Manacor. Fancy a tennis training camp or the fabulous Drach Caves. Did you know you could visit a bronze age structure on the island from here as well?

Hotels you should stay at

Hotel Turixant
@laurenfalcon
Located on the other side of the Tramuntana Mountains - this offers a respite from the bustling city. This is a secluded area that I best recommend for couples or a relaxing trip. I also recommend having a car or private transport to be taking everywhere. Restaurant here is phenomenal as well!

La Residencia, A Belmond Hotel, Mallorca
@laurenfalcon
A dreamy hotel befitting of it's dreamy location. La Residencia is a Belmond hotel. If you can't stay here I recommend enjoying a meal at El Olivio. If interested in staying here, ask me about the Bellini Club benefits.

Just above Soller and on the road to Deia (or from), lies this gorgeous hotel. The restaurant here is lit with string lights that adds an ethereal aesthetic. It's a great place to stay if you only want to visit Deia.

This is located in Soller and for a longer stay in Mallorca I recommend. This feels like an authentic Spanish homestead. A romantic place to relax & unwind.

Comida, tapas & bebidas!

Ca's Patró March
@laurenfalcon
I remember I first saw this alluring restaurant in a viral video. There was no location tagged besides Mallorca and I was on the hunt. I was happy to discover that the food is just as amazing as the views! This is one of 2 options at Cala Deia.
