10 Day Greece Itinerary

10 Day Greece Itinerary

Megan Miller
Here’s our best advice and favorite things to do in Athens, Milos and Santorini all within 10 days. - We had great experiences on the ferries, this is not always the story for others, be prepared for motion sickness and consider an upgrade to Platinum seating - Do not flush toilet paper in the toilets - Kalimera means good day, good morning - Greeks are very kind, be kind to them back

What to do:

I recommend the GetYourGuide.com 6 site pass in Athens. It allowed us to enter many historical sites and arrive 8am to the Acropolis. After 8am, it is very crowded! Get there early!

What to do

Highly recommend Sailing Milos, for your boat tour around the island. Experience crystal clear waters, swimming through caves and traditional home cooked Greek cuisine

Sarakiniko Beach

Sunrise is beautiful at Sarakiniko. Cliff jumping happens on the left side of the cliffs, very crowded midday. Very easy to get to by car

Take ferry from Milos (Adamantas) to Santorini (Fira) (2 hours on sea jets)

NOTE: Santorini is large, the port is NOT in Oia, it is 45 minute drive up to the top of Oia upon arrival to the Port; we do not recommend renting a car here - it is worth it to pay for taxis unless you are very confident driver

What to do

Get up to for sunrise and take your photos with the blue domes at the Castle before the crowds roll in. Social media is not lying when they say the crowds are tough in Oia, and we went early June it was still bad. I recommend reservations anywhere on Santorini to ensure your day goes to plan unless you are willing to be flexible of course.

Santo Wines
@bonjour_hallo_habari
Most beautiful winery and the service was fantastic. Wine and Cycladic cheese plate were divine

Fly from Santorini to Athens

It is only a 40 minute flight, or 6 hour ferry ride if you fly home from Athens - the cost was about the same for ferry vs. flight

Athens (1 night)

Sofitel Athens Airport

5 star hotel and is $$$$, recommend looking at the holiday inn nearby but this is where we stayed for convenience due to our 6am flight
