1. Buy Tickets Online:
Purchase your entrance tickets to Mount Vesuvius online in advance. There is no cell signal at the site, so it's crucial to have your tickets ready before you arrive.
2. Head to Garibaldi Circumvesuviana Train Station:
In Naples, make your way to the Garibaldi Circumvesuviana train station, which is located below the main station.
3. Purchase a Ticket to Pompei Scavi:
Buy a train ticket to Pompei Scavi (direction: Sorrento). The fare is approximately €3. Pompei Scavi is also the final stop for people going to Pompei. From there there is an entrance just a few meters away.
4. Catch the EAV Bus:
From Pompei Scavi station, take the EAV bus to Mount Vesuvius. The bus fare is about €3.60.
