Arriving

There is a wonderful high-speed catamaran that can take you to your destination from neighboring coastal cities.

Where to stay

I highly recommend staying in Old Town. There are some gorgeous Airbnbs that are in the heart of this historic area. Here is where I stayed and I can't recommend it enough:

Day 1

Start off your trip with a full day of exploring the surrounding islands. This tour will take you to 5 islands, and includes the infamous Blue Cave. I highly recommend visiting in August through October. The weather will be warm enough to enjoy the ocean breeze.

This is a great day tour option – with only two days in Split, you're going to want to make the most of every day by taking high-speed transportation options. We loved the high-speed boat cruise of the surrounding islands:

Make sure to pack everything you'll need (water, sunscreen, cash for the Blue Cave) in a secure backpack. It can be a bumpy ride.

There are many transfer options to your next destination. I highly recommend using a transfer service that stops at the GORGEOUS Plitvice Lakes.
