Conservatory of Flowers

The garden outside is free to stroll . At night, they put on a light show on the building. Admission is free for veterans and SF residents. Currently (2023), there is an art installation adjacent to the conservatory of artificial trees that light up.

Music Concourse

A landscaped basin between the California Academy of Sciences and the de Young Museum, is a civic and cultural space within Golden Gate Park, hosting free concerts on Sundays during the summer.

Bison Paddock

This meadow has been occupied by bisons since 1899. Cared for by the SF Zoo and SF Parks and Rec, the bisons here are always a surprise to visitors.

Koret Children's Playground

Great playground for families. There is an antique carousel here for those that are interested. Opened in 1888, this playground is thought to have been the nation’s first public playground. It has since been remodeled and modernized for the children of this generation!
