Poutine is a local delicacy from my neck of the woods, and I would never dream of depriving you from a list of the best (and worst) Poutines from my hometown of Montreal!

The Fan Favourite
La Banquise
@SeeYouLeda
Open 24/7, La Banquise is a famous poutine destination for locals and tourists alike. They have over 30 different types of poutine, each with their own funky name!
A personaly favourite of mine is "La Taquise" - think nachos x poutine.

The Institution
Greenspot Restaurant - Smoked Meat - Breakfast - Burgers
@SeeYouLeda
Greenspot opened in 1947 and has hardly changed since. It's a go-to spot for greasy cheat mels- most notably smoked meat. But they make a pretty darn good poutine too!
Try the smoked meat poutine if you dare...

The Old Faithful
Montreal Pool Room
@SeeYouLeda
Call it false advertisement but this place doesn't actually have pool tables (or a pool for that matter). It's a beloved fast food joint popular among club-goers of the area - but sober people can also agree that they make a pretty good poutine!
They're most famous for their steamed hot dogs, so grab one of those too while you're at it!

The Gourmet Choice
Au Pied de Cochon
@SeeYouLeda
The owner of the restaurant, Martin Picard, is a local celebrity chef and he sure does know what he's doing.
Don't believe me? Try his foie gras poutine!

The New Kid On The Block
Chez Tousignant
@SeeYouLeda
Don't underestimate this place for it's lack of experience - they've clearly figured out something right with many locals deeming it the best new poutine place in town!

The Exotic One
Ma Poule Mouillée
@SeeYouLeda
Deemed one of the best Portuguese chicken restaurants in Montreal, they've created their own take on Poutine topped with their famous Piri Piri poultry.

The Tourist Trap
Gibeau Orange Julep
@SeeYouLeda
Would you trust a building shaped like a giant orange to create a great poutine? Me neither.

The Overrated One
La Belle Province
@SeeYouLeda
Probably the most famous of "Casse Croute" chains, this one is unfortunately past its prime.
