A short hike from the Peyto Lake Viewpoint parking lot takes visitors to a stunning overlook, where they can admire the breathtaking scenery and marvel at the lake's unique beauty. Surrounded by picturesque mountains and verdant forests, Peyto Lake offers a serene escape into the heart of nature, leaving visitors with an unforgettable experience of the awe-inspiring Canadian wilderness.
Take your adventure one step further and embark on the Peyto Lake Panoramic View Trail! This 2.4km loop trail, offers a breathtaking and awe-inspiring experience for nature enthusiasts and hikers alike. The trail is moderately difficult as there is a bit of an incline and there are some uneven areas. The view at the top
is gorgeous and should not be missed!
Moraine Lake’s beauty is like no other. From the majestic blue water to the rugged mountain backdrop, it’s a must see! Because of its popularity, Parks Canada no longer allows private vehicles to drive and park at the lake. The only way to get to Moraine Lake, as of the 2023 season, is by shuttle! I recommend booking your shuttle through the Parks Canada website. Spots fill up fast so it is important to make plans ahead of time!
Once you’ve reached this natural wonder, sit back and take in the awe inspiring views! The best view of the lake can be reached via the Rockpile Trail. This easy 15 minute hike will take you to the most iconic viewpoint of the lake! I also highly suggest doing the Moraine Lakeshore trail. This easy, 3.2km, out and back trail, will take you on a scenic journey right beside the lake!

The Cave and Basin National Historic Site in Banff, Alberta is a great activity for anyone to enjoy! The discovery of the thermal springs in 1883 led to a series of events that led to the creation of Canada’s first national park. Today the site has become a spot to share stories of conservation and the connection between the land and its people.
Through the interactive exhibits and film presentations, you can learn all there is to know about the local hot springs and the history of Banff National Park! The warm spring waters at the site are home to the endangered Banff snail! The snail is approximately 3-5mm in size and cannot be found anywhere else in the world! If you’re lucky you’ll be able to see them at your visit!
Tip: Be prepared for a stinky egg smell when entering the cave! The sulphur stench can be quite strong at times!

Although it is quite costly to stay at the hotel, you can still visit the grounds and explore the beauty it has to offer, without breaking the bank! As if this hotel wasn’t cool enough, did you know it’s allegedly haunted!? As the most well known story goes, in 1928, a man took his own life after killing his wife and daughter during their stay at the hotel.
There are a few stories of hauntings at the hotel one of them being the murders of an entire family in their hotel room on the eighth floor. The story goes, a man took his own life after murdering his wife and daughter. Since the murders, guests have reported seeing bloody handprints on the bathroom mirror. The room in question is no longer there and if you visit the eighth floor you’ll notice it’s completely covered where the room should be!
This beautiful and tranquil gardens located in the Town of Banff are a small oasis steps from town! It’s a perfect place to escape the busy town and take a moment for yourself. Peak bloom season is from May to September and should not be missed on your trip to Banff!
Admission to the gardens is free and a great way to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery surrounding the gardens.

The resort offers the most beautiful cabin accommodations equipped with the cutest interior! If the inside of the cabins weren’t enough, they also have fire pits along the creek for guests to enjoy! They also left us the most sincere post card message and souvenirs to take home!
