Mumbai's Best Coffee Spots

Mumbai's Best Coffee Spots

While I have a complete guide on restaurants and bars, this guide is exclusive for coffee lovers looking to explore the cafe scene in Mumbai. Explore the quaint cafes and please share your thoughts with me. I personally explore a lot of South Bombay and Bandra, hence don't have a lot of suggestions for deep suburbs. Do let me know if you have any other discoveries.

Grounded Cafe
@disha
This cafe is super cute, nestled in the by lanes of Bandstand , a posh neighbourhood in Bandra West upon a hill. The coffee is really nice, but the best part are the crepes. They are simply declicious. I visit this place every once in a while.

Boojee Cafe
@disha
Boojee is one of my favourite cafes in the city. The one and only outlet is on the backside of turner road in Bandra. Pick the largest outlet no 3 to sit. Frequented by people of all age groups boojee is a status symbol store. But other than the creme de la creme of Mumbai crowd, the food and coffee is amazing. At work as well we end up ordering from boojee a couple of times a week. I love the 53% hot chocolate, the oats bowl, the mushroom cheddar sandwhich and the portobello and parmesan hashbrown rostie. Truly divine.

KCROASTERS By Koinonia
@disha
I order frequently from this place. While I stick to my cafe latte, my friends have mentioned how their other coffees are also divine. KC has a very cool and new age approach and their collaborations with places like chasing tales bring a whole new subculture which is really exciting to be a part of.

Subko Specialty Coffee Roasters and Bakehouse
@disha
This is a coffee shop turned art centre which now has other franchise across the city. They blend their own coffee and I have to say the medium roast is amazing from Assam. They collect coffee beans from across the country. The food however is very average- I ate the Harissa Mozzarella Melt and it was really disgusting. The cafe has extended into a small lifestyle store and is such a great place to simply read or work out of as well. I would highly recommend visiting this place.

Kala Ghoda Cafe
@disha
This is by far one of my favourite cafes in Mumbai located in Kala Ghoda. Its got a lot of food with fresh produce, some wow waffles, and their pesto linguine is the best I've ever eaten- super fresh. It has 3 sitting areas and if you go inside they also have a wine room which is a dark lounge during the day. Its frequented by a lot of artists and creative people and don't forget their almond cake on the way out. It's divine.

Chantilly - The Café
@disha
Their s'mores hot chocolate is simply splendid. With a few cheesecakes and a wide range of coffee and milkshakes this place nestled away on Turner road is a favourite. It's usually super crowded and there is always a waiting outside because it's simply a sugar rush.

The Bandstand Pantry
@disha
If you've not watched the sunset from Bandstand Pantry, you've not experienced a magical cafe in Bombay. Right by the ocean, this micro cafe has great coffee and food. The sandwiches and shortbreads are great, my favourite was the Mango Cheesecake.

Their sea salt mocha and the cinnamon spice mocha is my favourite along with their Mushroom Gruyere Tart. You can also pick up some medium or dark roasted coffee from all over the world grounded by Blue Tokai at any of their outlets.

Affogato x Coffee by javaphile
@disha
As the name suggests they have some great adffogato flavours. I had their mocha and butter croissant. The croissant was not very soft and the options are very limited for food.The ambience is very cute and aesthetic definitely a one time visit.
