Cairo, for me, is more than a destination; it's an immersive experience. Personally, the noticeable segregation among the people is something unfamiliar. In certain areas, the stark contrast between clean and dirty streets in a city of 22 million residents becomes evident. However, despite these observations, Cairo is an essential visit.
While Egypt is renowned for its beautiful seas and summer getaways, experiencing Cairo offers a unique opportunity. It goes beyond the picturesque landscapes, providing insights into people's lives, fostering a deeper appreciation for your own, and offering a perspective shift that shouldn't be overlooked. Cairo is a city of contrasts and complexities, making it an unforgettable stop on your journey. ๐๏ธ๐ #CairoExperience

Giza Necropolis
@csenge
Itโs definitely an experience, the pyramids after all are one of the 7 wonders. We did have an amazing guide Abdo, who I can recommend with a full trust. My suggestion is, always have a trustworthy guide, otherwise they will make you pay double or triple the price of everything.

Saqqarah
@csenge
Personally I like Saqqara more than the Giza pyramids. The reason behind it is because itโs the oldest pyramid in Egypt, but also it has so many to give, you can go inside in one of them to see how it looks like. And there are also other places which you can see there.

El- Tahrir Square
@csenge
Be ready itโs super crowded as most of Cairo. This is the old town. And next to this square itโs the current Egyptian museum. Till the grand Egyptian museum wasnโt open this also offered a wild range of history for the visitors. Also around this area there are a lot of local cafes and restaurants.

Markets&Restaurants
Khan el-Khalili
@csenge
The most versatile market where you can find decorations, clothes and souvenirs in one place. Also the best place to learn how to bargain. Itโs a very historical place, you can see a part of the old Islamic Cairo and the historic water pipes( magra el oyoun aqueduct). Which unfortunately doesnโt work, however it is interesting to see how it was built.

SKY RIM
@csenge
When I was there last time there were no buildings. Of course the locals saw an opportunity in the view of Cairo and built restaurants. If you want to have a romantic dinner with a view Iโm definitely suggesting this place.
