Fall Salt Lake City Girls Trip !!

After living in SLC for a couple years, I hosted some of my girlfriends from all over the country to spend a weekend getting the most out of SLC! This guide is perfect if you love small shops, yummy food and walking! It includes a hand picked bar hopping night and my favorite hike for all activity levels.

Day 1- Hiking is a Must!

Make sure to fuel up before your hike! I recommend this local coffee chain because their variety of toasts are so yum!

If you are physically able, Salt Lake City is not complete without a hike! These two are perfect for all activity levels!

Donut Falls will require a drive, while Ensign Peak starts pretty much in downtown!

Donut Falls Summer Trailhead
@hayleytaggart
While it is a bit of a drive from SLC proper (about 40 minutes). This is a great all levels hike. It is flat most of the way and the last section you hike through the river to see the cool donut shaped hole formed from the waterfall!

Ensign Peak
@hayleytaggart
Depending on how long you take staring out into the beautiful valley, it will take about 45 minutes to complete this hike. While there is steep elevation gain, my grandma hiked it in flip flops! This is the most beginner friendly and so close to downtown SLC and is very accessible! This is the number one hike I recommend to anyone visiting Salt Lake City!

After the hike, make sure to treat yourself! Either of these places will be a perfect sweet treat. Monkeywrench keeps you downtown wile Iceberg is on the drive home from the hike!

MONKEYWRENCH
@hayleytaggart
I have tried a lot of vegan ice cream and this is some of the best I have ever had It has a convenient location downtown SLC so you can add it while you are walking around They always have a selection of fun flavors (try the lavender, tea and biscuits, or any of their seasonal flavors for a great experience) It’s even Braden approved! He has been an outspoken critic of other vegan ice creams, which is how you know this one is great!

this farmer's market punches way above it's weight class as far as options! In the summer it is outside, but head over to the Gateway in the winter months for it to be hosted inside!
