Breakfast & Coffee at Pasticceria Sissi
A classic pastry shop known by many locals that has a cozy and charming ambiance. They offer breakfast (the cream filled croissant is a must!), coffee, light lunch options and fresh squeezed juices. The garden patio is tucked away in the back and is a magical escape from Milan. If you happen to be here on a Thursday there is an amazing market that goes on right out front worth checking out.
Visit Villa Necchi Campiglio
After breakfast, walk over to Villa Necchi Campiglio. An architectural gem here in Milan! The villa was designed by famous architect Piero Portaluppi for two sisters Nada and Gigina and Angelo, Gigina's husband. It was built in the 1930s and is an excellent example of Art Deco Style. Despite being in the heart of Milan, the villa is surrounded by lush, peaceful gardens and it was one of the first villas in Milan to have its own private swimming pool. Another highlight of the Villa is that it has its own tennis courts, other luxurious amenities include the billiard room, the verandah and much more. Today, Villa Necchi Campiglio is managed by FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano) and is open to the public as a museum.
