Enjoy the Kyoto Travel Guide!
Kyoto was one of if not my favorite city in Japan. It is known for its more traditional Japanese architecture, the artfully made sushi, Gion district with Geishas, and the beautiful pavilions. Kyoto will be a trip to remember!

Day 1 in Kyoto, Japan
Getting There- Take the JR train line from Tokyo to Kyoto and get there around two hours!
Hit the ground running! Drop off your things at your accomodations or ask them to hold on to it if it is not time to check in yet.
Today will be your day to explore the famous Golden and Silver Pavilion- which are just breathtaking. This is the Japan dreams are made of.
That night you will head to the Gion District and grab some sushi. If you are lucky you may just spot a Geisha while wandering the Gion District. Remember to be respectful of the Geishas.

Arashiyama Bamboo Forest

The Bamboo Forest is a must, it has trails lined with gorgeous bamboo. It is just beautiful and so very peaceful well outside of all the people but I promise you it is so worth it. If you want to avoid the people come early. Although not being a morning person I went in the afternoon and still got great pictures and absolutly loved it. Check the weather and be sure to come prepared with a rain jacket if needed.
