From and to the Airport

As always, there are many options, depending on the budget and the type of trip you have in mind. Personally, I always choose solutions that are a mix of comfort and savings, so...here you are my choice:

Mini van for 150 THB, drop off at the hotel.

As soon as you exit the airport, you'll definitely find someone approaching you and offering this service. Easy peasy."

Stay

Below, you'll find the 3 hotels where I stayed, they're pretty much in the same area.

I've loved them for position, cleaness and affordable prices.

The Krabi Forest Homestay
@martinacristini
Designed as a village of cottages surrounded by greenery, it's perfect for tranquility and its proximity ( just in front! )to the pier where long-tail boats depart for the nearby beaches of Railay and Phra Nang. Personally, it was my go-to for booking every island tour

Eat

Kodam Kitchen
@martinacristini
Must Try! This restaurant is accessible by descending a staircase located right beneath the last two hotels I recommended, It's always bustling with visitors and offers well-executed Thai and Asian cuisine.

Mountain View Restaurant Ao Nang,Krabi

Breathtaking location! Nestled in greenery, you'll feel like you're dining within a forest. To enjoy all of this, you need to move away from the coast and venture about a 20-minute journey inland.

Basmati Restaurant
@martinacristini
A tiny family-owned restaurant offering Indian and Thai cuisine. Not only did I eat incredibly well at very affordable prices, but I also fell in love with this wonderful and welcoming family

Ao nang krabi stadium and Aonang stadium gym. Thai boxing
@martinacristini
The only thing I didn't do from this list, but I really wanted to! Muay Thai is more than just a sport for Thais, and these matches become an excellent way to further immerse yourself in the country's culture. Buy tickets for the starting price of 990 THB in any ticket office.

Beaches

A paradise for rock climbers and nature enthusiasts, just a 10-minute boat ride away from Ao Nang.

Railay Beach
@martinacristini
This is the less 'wild' part of this area. You'll find a beachside restaurant and a direct access path to the main road."

Phra nang Cave Beach
@martinacristini
I recommend dedicating more time to this beach, as it's much larger and, from my perspective, more naturally beautiful.

Ticket info

These two beaches are the closest to Ao Nang. They are accessible by long-tail boat, the typical Thai boats.

The ticket is the same for the two beaches, the only drop off is in Railay beach, once there Phra Nang beach is accessible by 15 min easy walking on the othere side.

WHERE

*If you have plans to stay at Railay Beach, you can also purchase a one-way ticket for half of the price as this is the only way to reach the location.

There are other places to buy tickets, but this office is right at the departure pier for the boats.

TIMETABLE

The departure and return times of the boats range from 8am to 6pm.

TIPS

If you have the desire not to leave at the most beautiful moment and want to enjoy a stunning sunset at Phra Nang Beach, I recommend that as soon as you arrive or at the ticket office as well , inquire about taking a boat back later, for an additional fee.

I recommend bringing food and drinks with you if you decide to spend the day at Phra Nang, as it's a bit more secluded from the main road with restaurants and mini-markets.

In the final stretch of the journey from Railay Beach to Phra Nang, you'll pass by the caves, always crowded with many monkeys!"

ISLAND TOUR

This is the perfect way to explore the area!

The Ao Nang coast is very convenient for easily reaching all the splendid nearby islands.

Ticket info

I purchased the tour tickets through the hotels where I stayed. They often offer discounts or special treatments reserved for their guests, Krabi Forest Homestay on top of the list!

Nevertheless, while strolling along Ao Nang's main street, you'll definitely notice the numerous ticket and tour offices where you can ask for information and make bookings.
