Clamato is the casual little sister and neighbor of more famed Septime (one of the hardest tables to get in Paris right now). While named for tomato juice, its actually a seafood oriented spot. Walk in only.
Helmed by a South American female chef, Le Baratin has been going strong for over 20 years. The decor is retro and understated. The food is rich and delicate. Reservations recommended.
L'ami Jean is an unassuming bustling bistro that delivers on the hearty portions, managing to fuse creativity with classic cooking. The restaurant is always packed in the evening, with chef Stephane Jego, at the helm for over ten years, clapping and yelling to servers from the open kitchen at the back. Update: Closed in August.
Just a few blocks from your apartment, you'll find Frenchie - a small cozy spot that recently received a Michelin star.
All time favorite old school bistro. The food is heavy. The decor is from another time. Memorable.
This spot is controversial to say the least. Some love it, others totally don't get it. It's cozy, pricey, occassionally rude and consistently been a hot spot.
