Welcome to Medellin. The city of eternal spring and my favorite in the whole world. I would say that means a lot, having visited more than 100. But I was born here, so I may be biased.

I live here, and although I love traveling, this is the place I call home and come back to.

Let me show you what you can't miss on a three-day trip.

Morning

Plaza Botero - Medellín, Antioquia
@kmconpasaporte
Take some time to capture pictures with the sculptures. They say if you rub them, it's good luck

Start your morning in Plaza Botero. These sculputures are really famous and there are many in all countries around the world, all made by our famous Medellin artist Fernando Botero.

If you are doing this the Colombian way, just look around for buñuelos and empanadas and have that with Coke, hot chocolate or Coffee. That would be our breakfast.

In this plaza you can visit the Antioquia Museum, to get a better sense of life in Medellin, traditions and people painted into art. There is a cafe in the entrance where you can have your morning coffee.

This is your opportunity to try Colombian food at its best and try a "corrientazo". This is the menu of the day that working people buy at cheap restaurants and they offer the whole Colombian taste.

Afternoon

You are going to visit La Comuna 13. You probably heard a lot about this one. This is the neighborhood that used to be the most dangerous in the whole world...And then because of a violent attack, it was reborn into an amazing touristic activity. I won't tell you much because for this you do need a guide telling you the history as you walk through the streets and it will be amazing!

Now you can head to catch the Metro to get to the Comuna 13: Google maps can guide you but all you need to know is you need to get to the San Javier Station. There you will see all the tour guides ready to take you to la comuna by bus.

Enjoy all morning here, try the Paleta de mango biche:

Evening

Visit el Pueblito Paisa. Get to see how our towns used to be and take in a complete view of the city

Pueblito Paisa
@kmconpasaporte
This is a representation of how our ancestors used to live. Us locals visit it as a sunday hike or in december, to look over the city in the festive lights.

Based on the assumption that you are staying in El Poblado, go back to have a nice dinner at:

$

El Altar Taquería Manila
@kmconpasaporte
This one is full because us locals love to come here. Be sure to come a little early ( 6 p.m-ish)

Florez Food Garden
@kmconpasaporte
This place sells amazing food and cocktails. You can pick from a variety of icons that show what you can get: Vegan, healthy, full fattening (that's how they call it).

Restaurante Mistura Provenza

Lets finish this trip having everything! So now the only thing you are missing is nightlife.

Let's get dancing. Our top picks for Rumba (party) would be:

Black Dog Club
@kmconpasaporte
Mentioned in one of Bad Bunny's latest songs, this is the going out #1 place. But it will be crowded for sure... Although that's the magic of it ;)

Salón Amador
@kmconpasaporte
If you want to avoid queues or crowds, go here instead. We go here when all we want to do is dance to reggaeton, the #1 music genre in Medellin

*Be aware of the day you are going, we don't like to party on a monday :) So the closest to the weekend, the better.
