We headed straight to Malibu. I was unsure if this stretch of Highway 1 was scary and was pleased to find out it was fairly easy. We did hit some traffic but did not mind as the views were spectacular.

We stayed at the Belamar in Manhattan Beach which was perfect and reasonably priced. It was about a 30 minute walk to downtown Manhattan Beach but it felt very safe, even at night.

Day 2 we started with the Hollywood sign followed by driving through Hollywood, Rodeo Drive, and Beverly Hills. We drove by beautiful homes in Beverly Hills, maybe my favorite part!

Right down the road from Santa Monica is Venice Beach. After walking the boardwalk we took in the sunset from the beach before our trip came to an end.
