Primitive Roads

Primitive Road I - V17E4
@venture4wd
This primitive four-wheel drive road descends a mountain near Bakersfield, Vermont. I wasn't able to complete it due to traveling solo with an injury, but I don't believe it was beyond the capabilities of my orange Jeep. It descended a few rocky steps, and featured an off-camber, rocky slope, which is where I opted to turn around. With a healed foot, I likely would've continued, as I didn't encounter anything that couldn't have been negotiated with the aid of a winch.

Primitive Road II - V17E4
@venture4wd
This primitive four-wheel drive is located in a densely wooded area near Franklin, Vermont. It passes through some maple farms and starts moderately enough, but in less than two miles, it degrades into a series of very rocky, techical water holes of unknown depth. I was compelled to turn around at a large water hole, although I do believe I saw a technical line over the rocks, bypassing the water. It was a very wet trail, and I don't know if my orange Jeep had sufficient ground clearance or not. It's hard to tell how deep some of those holes were and I didn't want to risk it. It was a lot of fun, and very scenic, however.
