Brunch | My favorite places in Cracow

Mary Soranno
I know, as an Italian, I should praise pastries for breakfast 🫣 But the truth is, when I moved to Cracow I fell for brunch pretty quickly. Take a look at my favorite places in the city and give them a try!

Astrid

With its menu inspired by Sweden and great ingredients, Astrid is a little gem in town and an absolute must-try!

Stop by for a quick Smørrebrød aka open sandwich, and if you have some time, order a cooked meal from the seasonal menu.

I especially recommend the salmon rösti, truly delicious, even more, if paired with bubbles.

Szalej Cafe

Hard to pick a favorite from Szalej's menu. Everything is tasty, comes in a generous portion, and their challah is one of the best I've ever tried :)

Brunch is served all day and everything is handmade, including their famous ajvar.

Camelot Cafe

A former brothel and a movie set. If you love vintage decor you can't miss Camelot!

It gets crowded during weekends so go during the week if you can.

Tip: if you prefer a fancier vibe, go next door! Camelot Lulu, Camelot's little sister, will treat you with champagne and freshly baked bagels.

Gossip Cafe

This is the first place I had brunch at, I will never forget that omelet! It is loved by locals and tourists,  so you might need to queue for a while, but it never disappoints.

Open from 7:30 am, it is perfect for early birds and serves incredible omelettes.

Wesoła Cafe

Have you ever had Aeropress coffee? This coffeehouse has a wide choice of brewing methods and a lovely menu that perfectly matches its industrial vibe.

The cottage cheese noodles with white chocolate sauce are exceptional.
