If you want to explore more than just going to Oktoberfest, depending on your budget and time, a rented car might be a good solution. Just keep in mind that busy days at the mountain side can get very crowded leading to spending lots of time in the car!
Be very cautious with the time if you want to return to Bucharest Airport by car from BraČov as the road can get unimaginably busy and it can take you even 7-8 hours.
šĀ Train
You can take the airport train to the Gara de Nord (or named BucureČti Nord) from where you can take a direct train to BraČov.
The train ride from the airport to Gara de Nord takes 25 minutes and runs every 20-30 minutes. It costs 7 lei (1.5 EUR).
Then you have to take another train to BraČov and you have lots of them each day. The ride takes about 2.5 - 3.5 hours and costs about 63 lei (13 EUR), depending on the train you choose.
You can take tickets from CFR, the national company, or check all trains including the private lines on Mersul Trenurilor. You might get better conditions and fewer chances of delays with a private one.Ā

You can order an Uber or a Bolt in the app rather than a local yellow taxi as they might charge you more if you are a tourist.
You can also use public transportation. Google Maps will tell you which bus line you should take and you can take tickets from the special shops in some of the stations or pay directly with the card at the machines inside the bus, or directly from the driver on some lines (17B, 20, 25, 28, 34B, 41, 60, 100)

CIUCAČ MALZBIER -Ā The Special Oktoberfest Beer
This year, CiucaČ Malzbier returns to the lips of BraČovās Bavarians, setting the tone for relaxation once again! With its full-bodied taste and light texture, this amber beer, rich in malt, entices even the most curious palates like never before!
You can enjoy it on draft, in a 500ml glass, or indulge in a generous 1-liter stein, celebrating autumn with the perfect tone of relaxation, just as it should be, only at Oktoberfest!
Relaxation goes hand in hand with a cold CiucaČ in the heart of nature, at just the right moment, especially when it's waiting for you dressed in festive attire, specially prepared for you and your entire crew!
Other touristic activities outside the festival
Check out this organized trips to get the most out of your time in BraČov! You can visit royal castles, UNESCO cities, a bear sanctuary, Dracula's Castle or do some hiking.Ā
If you want to go hiking by yourself, the authorities recommendation is to be in a big group and take precautions as the chance of encountering unfriendly bears is very high in all seasons! My personal recommendation would be to choose an organized group trip as the local guides know best the routes and safety measures!
