V16E1: An Old Mine

At the end of a primitive, desert two-track, Shannon and I discovered a curious footpath up into the mountains. We followed it for a little over a quarter-mile where we found two exposed mine tunnels. We didn’t go in, for safety’s sake, but both shafts seemed sturdy, with dusty footprints of other explorers visible from the entrances. The area featured some ruins and interesting artifacts that warrant further investigation. Four-wheel drive is required to access this fascinating historical site!
