Basecamp South of Moab
@venture4wd
We identified this campsite (Revel Base) quickly using iOverlander while en route to the Moab area from Colorado. Daylight was waning as we traveled into town so we rolled the dice on this spot, and it was a win! It is south of downtown Moab by about twenty minutes, and three miles from pavement down a smooth gravel BLM road. There is a very short 4x4 section to get to camp which is traversable with two wheel drive vehicles with great care. Since it is on iOverlander, we saw other vans and minivans at neighboring campsites during our two week stay in our Winnebago Revel. There is a primitive fire ring here, and great views of the La Sal Mountains to the northeast. Enough room for one or two vehicles, and the rim has a few other campsites so there is enough room for multiple parties. Surprisingly poor cell service, but Starlink is great here. This spot is fairly exposed with moderate privacy, so expect wind or inclement conditions, but the views are great and it is a relatively convenient spot that is less crowded than a lot of the other Moab boondocking options.

Picture Frame Arch
@venture4wd
Having spent the night at the campsite located on the southern side of this rock formation, this spectacular natural arch was walking distance from camp, and shouldn't be missed! It's uniquely rectangular in shape, and aptly-named "picture frame". It is visible from a rugged four-wheel drive track, accessible by a high-clearance vehicle, but you are also able to climb up to the arch itself via an official trailhead. The first part of the climb is a precarious ten foot ascent that will require a hand-hold to pull yourself up, but it is not too challenging or dangerous.

Featured Campsite
@venture4wd
This is a wonderful cliffside dispersed campsite accessible by four-wheel drive vehicle several miles down a rugged BLM road. There is a primitive stone fire ring here, and satisfactory cell service through ATT with phenomal views of the canyon to the west. It is an exposed site with little vegetation or protection from the elements, but privacy should be decent as it is a very remote and low-traffic area. The Jeep with 3" lift and 35" tires had no trouble getting here, but a stock Jeep, truck, SUV, or van should use great care as the road is very rough with a few ledges. I was considering the feasibility of getting our Winnebago Revel here with 275s and an Agile suspension, and although I think it would be possible, I think it would be challenging and time-consuming.
