TodayTix is a booth, an app, and a website where you can purchase discounted theatre tickets. The discount amount depends on the quality of the seats and how close you are to the date of the show.
Booth: The benefit of the booth is that it provides great day of tickets. The booth is located in Leicester Square, the heart of the theatre district. Visitors can approach the booth and ask about theatre tickets that haven't been sold specifically for that day.

App and Website: The features below are all part of the TodayTix app and website. In addition to these features the app allows you to look at prices for shows in advance. These prices are discounted but not to the maximum amount they could be. And that's ok! Sometimes the convience of knowing when you're going to see a show is worth that.
Lottery: Only a few shows participate in the lottery such as Cabaret and Hamilton. The lottery system provides great prices for great seats and if you win you're going to have a wonderful time! The unfortunate aspect is that you can only enter the lottery day of and you find out only a few hours before the show starts. Winning the lottery means you have to be flexible with your plans.
Rush Tickets: These tickets go on sale day-of at 10am. The tickets cost £25. You do need to buy these immediately when they go on sale so set an alarm. It's a gamble whether you'll be able to buy them but worth a shot! You're likely to get decent seats and definitely at a great price.
Flash Sales: The TodayTix app notifies you when a show is running a sale. Often times the sale price is about £15 so a great deal. These flash sales usually run for 24 hours and for select dates.
I've had mixed luck buying day of tickets directly from theatre box offices. When I have had success I've ended up with amazing tickets for unparalled prices! I recommend looking up online whether the theater has seats available before trecking to the box office. Once there ask if they offer a day of sale or concessions tickets. It also doesn't hurt to ask if the price they quote you is the best offer or if the seats will be discounted further throughout the day. Good luck!
London Theatre Week
London Theatre Week runs from the end of February to the beginning of March and offers discounted tickets on dozens of shows! In 2023 over 70 shows took part offering £15 tickets. The prices were offered on a wide variety of dates into several months out.
YoungROH
The Royal Opera House offers amazing theatre prices for select ballets and operas if you are under 35. Tickets cost £30 and are usually amazing seats.
There is a constant rotation of shows in the West End, so this guide could only list some of the shows running. I do want to list a few of the more iconic ones and a few of the more notable theatres.
Agatha Christie's Mousetrap
This is the world's longest-running show of any kind, first opening in 1952. This iconic show is based on one of Agatha Christie's novels and is a murder mystery. The fun show asks audiences to promise not to spoil the ending for future guests.
The Mousetrap is a renowned play by Agatha Christie, famous for being the longest-running show in the history of London’s West End. Premiering in 1952, this classic murder mystery unfolds in a remote guesthouse where a group of strangers becomes trapped during a snowstorm. As tensions rise, the guests must unravel the mystery of a murderer in their midst, all while Christie’s signature plot twists keep audiences on edge. Known for its clever storytelling and unexpected revelations, The Mousetrap has captivated audiences for decades, solidifying its place as a beloved staple of theatrical entertainment.

This is the oldest theatre in London. They always have a West End show but also offer afternoon tea and cocktails. I highly recommend it! The building is gorgeous.
