Welcome to Ubud

I personally stayed in Poka Ubud Villas- a quite place 7mins away from Ubud Centre. they have few units, all with private pool, staff very kind and friendly. Perfect privacy and comfort.

But first thing first you need to rend a motorbike, yes i know, not an expert but driving in Ubud is less complicate then the rest of the island. More pleasant. I personally rent from a place called Darma Putra Bali Scooters. I got in touch weeks before my arrival, communication was smooth and clear. Price for  a Unit Yahamah Nmax 155c for 3 days was 420k Rupies + 500k rupies deposit (phone holder 25k rupies). Delivery at my villa.

After a full tank of petrol we start our journey up north, but first coffe! i suggest a stop to this beautiful place called HUMA CAFE' by Goldmine, with a lovely venue and a great menu!

So fresh juices, nice food and relaxing environment overview the ricefields. (perfect also for sunset views)

After coffee , the first stop on the way up to north (optional, personally too touristic for me) is Alas Harum  Bali, a mix of nature, relax, instagram spot , lots of activities and attractions, and much more!

Alas Harum Bali
@Clamiami90
Alas Harum Bali, a greenery lush tropical rice terraces inspired,. Located in the heart of Tegallalang, 20 minutes ride from Central Ubud. Designed to provide a memorable experience, for adventure seekers to fun and instaworthy photo hunters. Enjoy the expansive iconic three-layered pool, enjoy good food with 2 restaurants perfect for foodies.

In this area you can just simply enjoy the view of the famous Tegallalang Rice Terrace , parking can be quite tricky, i suggest to ask to one of the restaurant around to park in their spot, i paid 10k Rupies for the spot. The view from the top is breathtaking! i simply enjoed my fresh pineapple juice watching the rice fields.

Otherwise another tip is to go from the other side, and park here to access to the rice terraces (is not always free but cheaper then the main entrace) and you have direct access to the rice fields.

On the road stop also by Ceking Rice Terrace and Mupu.

Ceking Rice Terrace
@Clamiami90
A must stop… if you don’t know where to park and you don’t want to be charge extra, ask to a cafe owner if you can park in their spot- usually 10.000 ind will be enough and you can enjoy stroll Around! My advice is to find a small place and get a juice or coffee (for less then 25.000ind) and enjoy the beautiful view over the rice terrace

Continuing our trip next stop is Pura Gunung Kawi Sebatu, the cost is 30k Rupies for adults. The Hindu temple is nice and peaceful, worth a stop.

On to the next temple, not far away there is the Pura Tirta Temple, this one is one of the biggest in the area, we were there on a Sunday and there was a ceremony going on, lots of people doing donations, purification in the bathing area, lets say that you need to be careful where you are going as lots of areas in the temple are not allowed to non-hindu.

Beautiful temple in the heart of the forest. Cost is Rupies 50000 per person / you can park the motorbike outside free

In Ubud there are SO MANY TEMPLES! but be carefull, not evey temple if visitable, actually most of them are private as are located inside houses- if you want to visit it you need to ask permission to the owner.
