Best Value and Festive Temecula Wineries
When I’m discovering a new wine, it’s more than just about the taste for me – it’s the atmosphere and ambiance that elevates the overall drinking experience, making the money I’m willing to spend on a tasting worth it.
In Temecula, not only will you discover exceptional wines as low as $25 per tasting, but also lively and unique atmospheres that make for endless tipsy laughs and joyful memories.
Whether you’ve stumbled across Temecula traveling between San Diego and Los Angeles, or you happen to be a local, I'm sharing my three favorite wineries you should visit that guarantee a fun and festive atmosphere.
1. Wilson Creek Winery
Wilson Creek Winery is a must-visit for anyone who is 1). new to drinking wine and 2). interested in fruit-infused and decedent wine varietals and 3). wants to sprawl out, picnic-style, on the grass.
This family-friendly winery is known for its warm hospitality and it's evident with how attentive the staff are; you'll never feel as if you're left waiting for service.
Because concerts and special events are hosted regularly, the feeling of upbeat energy is always palpable.
With several bar areas in the tasting room, you can easily shuffle around if you prefer a more lively or intimate serving session.
They also boast an expansive patio where you can drink outside under the shade, in their picnic area next to their Countryard Bar & Grill which also serves wine slushies, or you can opt to have a sit-down meal with a glass of wine at the Creekside Grille Restaurant.
Overall, Wilson Creek Winery's friendly service, the regular lineup of special events, and immaculate grounds, make this spot a great choice to sip wine all day if you only have time to visit one place.
2. Peltzer Winery
If you're ready to explore another winery, headed over to Peltzer. You'll never get bored with their monthly rotating specials, daily themed offerings like "Food Truck Alley," and the weekends reserved for the 21+ crowd.
You'll enjoy the rustic and vintage feel of getting to drink inside a repurposed farmhouse (known as the "Crush House"), out on the front porch, or at the Silo Bar.
This location also has unique finds including vintage and recycled gifts in their shop and repurposed art throughout the tasting room.
3. Miramonte Winery
If you have it in you, end your day at Miramonte Winery. Sitting on a hilltop, the view of the vineyards below is breathtaking. You'll want to can grab a seat at the overlook if you want the breathtaking view while you drink.
What's great about this location is its extended hours which makes it a great way to end your day.
Let me know what you think!
Were my tips helpful? Did you have fun? I'd love to know.
