Rome has wine bars around every corner, from century-old enotecas with historic charm to modern spots that bring a fresh twist to the city’s wine scene. Some bars are popular at all hours of the day, especially in the buzzing centro storico, while others fly under the radar and are perfect for a quiet night out.
Whether you’re in the mood for a simple glass with light bites or a heartier meal with an impressive wine lineup, I’ve divided my favorite spots into wine bars and full-service restaurants that truly stand out.
