*The weather in the caves and forest can be cooler even in summer so bring a layer
*New Zealand is a very sustainable place. I always carried my own water bottle and reusable shopping bag
*There are many white sand beaches you will pass by. Take your time to enjoy the area in between places

These caves are smaller than some but that makes the tour much more informative and you have more time in the caves. The larger caves have more tour buses and you can spend a lot of time waiting to get in. These caves are operated by generations of the same family.
