Things to Do: Pawhuska, Oklahoma

If you are a Pioneer Woman (Ree Drummond) follower like I am and are traveling through Oklahoma you will want to stay here for a day or two if you can. There are special memories in this little town for me- I was there opening day of The Mercantile! This town is quintessential small town American charm. Everyone is friendly, welcoming and helpful. Eat as much here as you can and save room in your cooler for baked goods on the road.

Frontier Hotel

Very spacious, very affordable hotel within walking distance from the merc and other shopping/restaurants. Our room had a mid-size kitchenette and a mid-size refrigerator. We wish we could have stayed for a week!
