4-Day London Itinerary 🇬🇧

Arrival ✈️
Take note on which airport you're arriving at.
If you're flying from the U.S. or another overseas location, you'll arrive via London Heathrow or Gatwick airports. Our preferred way to get to our hotel is to hire car via Welcome Pickups. (Check out the link).
Most flights arrive in the morning to early afternoon, so be prepared to keep yourself occupied before you're able to check in. Most hotels do offer luggage storage prior to check in. Reach out beforehand to ensure yours does.

Don't forget to pay your ETA before you fly to the UK!!
Here is a link explaining the fee, what it's for and how you can pay it. Don't wait until the last minute on this!!
Day 1 💂♂️
Take a walking tour.
If you plan to stay in central London or travel into London, do NOT rent a car. The public transportation is superior to most cities and it's absolutely unnecessary, not to mention expensive. Also, the traffic congestion can be a nightmare.
Take an entire day to explore some of the iconic landmarks with a walking tour. This allows you to go at your own pace, marvel at the brilliant architecture and stop for a pint when necessary. Also, this is a great way to stretch your legs to overcome jet lag.
Here's an outline of places that you can easily walk to in a day:
Begin at Westminster Bridge

A great vantage point for seeing some of London's most picturesque points of interest.

Day 2 🏰
Windsor
There's plenty to do in Windsor, so I suggest spending the entire day exploring Windsor Castle and the surrounding area makes for an ideal day!
Transportation
It's easy to hop on a train from London into Windsor. If you're near Waterloo you can hop on. a direct train, not to be confused with the tube.
If you're leaving from another train station then you may have a change.

Purchase your tickets beforehand as they can sell out.
Also, if watching the Changing of The Guard is important to you, note that it only happens on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 11 am. If you want to see it inside the castle walls you'll need a ticket admitting you at 10 or 10:30 am.
So plan accordingly!
Here are some other ideas for spending a day in Windsor:

Day 3 ⚓️
Spend a day in Greenwich
You might not realize this, but London is where time begins. Literally! It's where the eastern and western hemisphere's meet at the Prime Meridian. Yes, you can have one foot in the eastern hemisphere and the other in the western hemisphere.
This picturesque London borough sits on the Thames river and I highly recommend taking a boat to/from.
Here are some places to visit. Again, book tickets ahead of time!

Day 4 👑
A day of iconic + thrilling tours.

And to top off your trip...a Jack the Ripper Tour!
Departure ✈️
Give yourself PLENTY of time for the airport.
A minimum of 3 hours to get through London Heathrow and perhaps even Gatwick.
Also, be mindful of London traffic as it can be quite daunting depending on the day/time you need to leave. Check with your hotel for advice on how long of a commute time you'll need. Also, Welcome Pickups is a great resource and our go-to for airport transfers.
