Day 2- Tiger's Nest hike

After breakfast, drive for half an hour and start the hike, which is about 5 hours (round trip.)

The trail is along an ancient path marked by river powered prayer wheels. Tiger's Nest is perched some 3900m on a cliff overlooking the valley, it would justifiably qualify as one of  Bhutan’s wonders. Its best to hike up early morning to avoid the crowd.

Later in the evening, take a hot stone bath to relax your body and mind for the next trip onwards.

Tiger nest Bhutan
@kinley
The monastery is perched at 3,900 meters (10,000 ft) above the Paro Valley floor, and looks like it clings to the side of the mountain. It is one of the most iconic landmarks in Bhutan. The name "Tiger's Nest" comes from a legend that Guru Padmasambhava, the founder of Tantric Buddhism in Bhutan, arrived here riding on the back of a tigress. He is said to have meditated in a cave here for three years, three months, three weeks, three days and three hours before leaving his mark on Bhutanese Buddhism.
