Welcome to Everett, Washington, located just about an hour north of Seattle, WA. My coworkers and I got to spend a few days here before our work week and had a great experience. We always try to make the most of our work trips by exploring the local area.Â

For a delicious brunch bite, we went to Vintage Cafe next. I am a huge breakfast lover and their good range of choices was delightful. Highly recommend their eggs benedict and hash browns.
Home to some of the best breakfast food I've had in awhile, absolutely worth it to check out. They have a mix of breakfast, lunch and drinks right now.

This quaint little town is the home of Funko Pop HQ and store. Inside you can wander around the hundreds of Pop options, featuring many iconic movie and tv show characters. To get a but more creative, you can even build your own Funko Pop to look however you'd like. We spent about 45 minutes enjoying everything the store has to offer, We also went home as the proud owners of a few more Funko Pops to add to our ever growing collection.

For a nice evening in town, head over to 16Eleven. This place gets busy quickly, so we highly recommend making reservations to guarantee your spot. They serve a good mix of salads, steaks and seafood in addition to other small plates. Finish off your evening by heading down the block to The Colby Club for a nice cocktail or mocktail. My personal favorite drink is the honeybee.
An old starbucks transformed into a cocktail lounge with a speakeasy vibe. They offer small bites to eat and a good range of cocktail and mocktail options. This is a local family owned business and all staff members are super helpful and had great suggestions.

Take a walk through downtown to some of the local shops. We stumbled upon Petrikor by accident and found they have some of the coolest home decor items, wide range of gardening supplies and provisions. Stock up on everything you need and more.

For lunch go to Eight ball Cafe or Anthony's homeport. Depending on what you're in the mood for both are great options. For wood fired pizza and small sandwich bites, Eight Ball Cafe is the place to go. For seafood and being right on the water, Anthony's is the place to be.Â
Located at the pier near the waters edge, a great place to get a seafood bite to eat. Check out the docks after and you might even see a few seals.

Honorable Mentions - Great Additions to Check out
With only a few short days in Everett, we weren't able to make it to all of the places we originally wanted to. Here are our honorable mentions or other top recommendations to check out if you're in town or need a great alternative for anything mentioned above.
We would recommend this in the late spring, summer and early fall when the majority of the flowers are in bloom. An easy walk and great way to enjoy the outdoors without going on a full hike.
Home to the Silvertips hockey, concerts, Disney on ice and much more. There is almost always something happening in this venue to check out on the weekends.

About an hour and a half drive northeast of town is North Casacades National Park. It is one of the Top 10 least visited parks in all of the U.S. and it happens to be one of the few that there is no fee required to enter the park. If you have a few days in the area, we highly recommend adding this side trip to your schedule. The views are absolutely worth it.Â
Please pack and plan accordingly to be out in nature. There are vault toilets at many trailheads and this is an area where wildlife is very common (bears, mountain goats, cougars, etc). We hiked the Blue Lake Trail and it was stunning.

Michigander at heart but currently traveling the world one week at a time for work. When not on the road and living out of my suitcase, I am down to spend the day exploring the local city scene or out hiking in nature. I am an adventurous spirit and try to maximize my free time exploring the hidden corners of whatever city I am in. I've been traveling all over the U.S. and Europe for nine years and crave authentic experiences at local hot spots (and sometimes the touristy faves). As a young and avid traveler (16 Countries, 45 U.S. States, 24 U.S. National Parks & numerous cities) my goal is to help you reach your travel goals - no matter the destination.
On Thatch, I create super detailed guides and itineraries to destinations that I've personally visited. These destinations have a little bit of everything that I love about travel (adventure, city life, great eats, beach days and more). I can also create custom guides and itineraries to wherever you may be dreaming of traveling to.
Top bucket list items: Ride in a hot air balloon, visit all 50 U.S. states, and someday be on the Amazing Race with my sister.
