The Morbid Tourist
New Pro
Lives in London, UK
Hey 👋 My name is Louise and The Morbid Tourist is your ultimate guide to weird and wonderful places around the UK and beyond 🖤 Here you'll find guides and itineraries for dark tourism and spooky travel, including haunted places, historic buildings, spooky graveyards, folklore spots and more. If you're looking for a spooky adventure - I'm your gal. Here's why 👇 🌍 I've lived in the UK my entire life - I know not only the best places to visit, but the darker, alternative and less-touristy places too 🪦I'd rather visit a hauntingly beautiful graveyard away from the crowds than popular tourist attractions (although they can be fun too sometimes!) ✏️ I do my research. I once spent an entire afternoon traipsing through a muddy farm to find a (tiny) historic carving in a brick wall. The spot signified where a butcher was hung for his grisly crimes - and was well worth the find 🗺️ Planning is my jam. From Google Spreadsheets overflowing with checklists of must-visit places to in-depth Notion templates about different locations - you can bet I've thought about every last detail of a trip 👻 I'm also honest. That pub claiming to be the most haunted in the UK (like every other pub)? It might not be the most haunted but it sure is fun to visit anyway 🖤 I'm passionate about morbid and spooky travel. The kind of travel that combines mystery, history, folklore and so much more. Whether you're a believer in the paranormal or not, the experience of visiting somewhere spooky is unlike no other Whatever you want to call it: dark tourism, legend tripping or just spooky travel, you can find everything you need know here. Plan a spooky adventure with me today ☠️

My love for city trips started when I was 16, thanks to my mom who made it a tradition to take me to a new city every year. Since then, I've become obsessed with planning perfect trips, finding hidden gems, and hitting all the highlights without wasting any time. For the past 10 years, I've been a tour guide, leading trips all over the world, and worked at a travel agency where I created trips. New Pro
Lives in Brașov, Romania
US native. Former resident of Romania. Current solo female globe trotter. I've now traveled to Romania, Italy, England, Scotland, Wales, Canada, The Netherlands, South Africa, Greece, Israel, and numerous places around the USA. I've done group tours, volunteer work, solo travel, studied abroad, and taught internationally. I lived for over a year in Romania, many years in Tennessee, and several months in England. My travel style is slow, spontaneous, and - shall we say - richly flavorful. I prefer to stay longer lengths in places instead of having a whirlwind sightseeing venture. I'll skip the chain restaurants for a hole-in-the-wall café any day of the week. I prefer a loose itinerary and remain open to what each day brings. My favorite things to do and see as I travel are... - EAT - Try whatever is local. Order the special of the day. Talk with the restaurant staff. - WALK - It encourages me to slow down, notice, and get a feel for community. - HIKE - I'm a lazy hiker. By "hike," I mean a few hours at a slow pace. - MUSEUMS - Spend an afternoon. Read the descriptions on exhibits. Talk with the docents. Buy something in the giftshop. - CHURCHES - I'm fascinated by the various ways people have worshipped the God of the Bible over centuries and across borders. Many older churches are also museums or tourist-friendly spaces. Some additionally hold regular liturgical services. - CASTLES - Castles, fortresses, palaces, big ol' houses: these places transport me back in time. I imagine the people who built, lived in, and defended them. What would they think of how we now live? If this kind of travel sounds ideal to you, follow me to easily access all the resources I've created. I'd love to help you experience slower, more meaningful travel. I have tips for how to make the most of your trip, with low stress, reasonable safety, affordability, and lots of fun. Book one of my custom services, and we'll work together to get you wheels up on your next adventure!

Lives in Rochester, NY, USA
Hi! I am Anna a Rochester, NY based travel planner. I am here to help you with every step of your next vacation. I can help you plan a luxury vacation without that luxury price tag! I work full time as a Events Coordinator and am incredibly passionate about planning and travel. I want to see as many countries and cities as I can and hope to help you get away too. My passion for travel began in 2019 when I lived abroad in Florence, Italy for a year. Because of this experience, I have since been to 19 countries and visited many cities in them! My favorite will always be Florence, but Copenhagen, Denmark and Ljubljana, Slovenia are close seconds! I specialize in travels to Italy, UK, France and love to plan trips to smaller, less traveled countries and cities! Outside of travel and my day job I love to read (anything fantasy) and I spend time cooking and working out with my boyfriend. I am also an avid plant enthusiast and have over 80 plants in my 2 bedroom apartment (much to the dismay of my boyfriend). In the past 3 years I have booked several vacations for clients. The two I consider my greatest achievements were both international adventures. One was for 40 days, 4 people across 9 countries. This trip cost each person less than $6,000 each and they got to experience so many different foods, stays, activities and places! The second was a 14 day, 11 person trip across 2 countries and 4 cities. This trip was more luxurious, however, the family that worked with me saved $30,000 compared to working with a different travel agent. Both trips highlight my ability to plan different kinds of vacations, while keeping your budget in mind. Make sure to click "Hire Me" to browse the different services I offer: 🗺️ Custom Itineraries: Tailor-made travel itineraries built for you. 📌 Curated Recommendations: Discover hidden gems and local favorites. 📞 1:1 Consultation Calls: Expert advice just a call away. Lives in Edinburgh, UK
Hi, I'm Kat a female business owner in Edinburgh, Scotland. I run small group and private walking tours. I specialise in Scottish history, film tourism (Harry Potter and Outlander) and the dark side of the witchcraft hunts in Edinburgh. I reside in one of the coolest neighbourhoods in the UK - Leith. Which is famed for it's indie shops, coffee and street art. When I am not guiding around bonnie Scotland I like to travel. I have been lucky enough to travel to over 55 different countries. Usually now with my husband, but on occasion, but have been partial to a solo adventure also. I enjoy exploring bustling cities, enjoying the local food and finding unique places to eat. As a small business owner, I like to find independent places to try out. To me travel is the best education you can give yourself. When I am exploring a new destination I will delve it to the culture and history of that location, and I like to find off the beaten track sights. It is hard to define my favourite country, as I feel many places are special to me. As a keen photographer, the vivid colours of India was incredible. Alongside the vast landscapes of Iceland, where last year (2023) I was fortunate enough to elope there. My guides will be varied, my Scottish guides will be through the lens of a local. I have experience in the industry in creating Scottish itineraries and like to prepare personalised and tailor made plans.

As a travel planner, I take pride in my research skills and my ability to uncover unique experiences that cater to my clients' specific travel goals. I believe that the key to a successful trip is in the details, and I make it my mission to leave no stone unturned when it comes to planning the perfect itinerary. Before I even begin to plan a trip, I take the time to get to know my clients and understand their travel goals. Whether they're looking for a relaxing beach getaway, an adventure-filled trek through the mountains, or a cultural immersion in a foreign city, I make it my priority to understand their desires and preferences. Once I have a clear understanding of what my clients are looking for, I begin my research. I scour the internet for hidden gems and off-the-beaten-path experiences that will give my clients a truly unique and memorable travel experience. From local restaurants and boutique hotels to guided tours and cultural events. But my research doesn't stop there. I also take the time to research the destination itself, learning about its history, culture, and customs. This allows me to provide my clients with valuable insights and recommendations that they won't find in a guidebook. At the end of the day, my goal is to create a travel experience that is truly tailored to my clients' needs and desires. And by taking the time to research each destination and uncover its unique offerings, I'm able to do just that.

In every job I've been at, I was known as the "crazy traveler" - you know that person that lands at 5am on a Monday and is in the office at 9am? or the one jetting off for the 2 days weekend every other week? Or the one that always comes back with some crazy stories? all of the above... it's me! I would like to think I’m quite a curious and adventurous person and I’m always up for trying new things, discover new foods and meet new people. There are not many things I wouldn’t be willing to try and I can’t think of any while writing this. I enjoy exploring new places, discovering new cultures and trying the local foods, but I also enjoy a good hike, a day by the beach and a crazy adventure! I strongly believe I should have been born a mermaid as I absolutely love the water, I’m a scuba diver 🤿 and I’m currently certifying as a free diver 🧜🏻‍♀️ . While I wait for my mermaid tail to grow, I want to see as much as possible of the land-based world. I’m originally from Italy 🇮🇹 but I’ve lived a little bit around California, the East Coast of the US, Barcelona and Scotland before settling in London where I worked in Marketing for 5 years. As of August 2023, I quit London and my corporate life to take a break and travel more, so stay tuned as more and more content will appear here and on my Insta!

Jiun-Wei Lai
Lives in London, 英國
Hi, I am Jiun-Wei from Tainan, Taiwan. I have been living in the UK for around a year. Over the past year, I have traveled to 19 countries on the European continent with a backpack. Overall, I have visited nearly 35 countries around the world since I was a child. Old towns, atmosphere, local food in the alleyways, architecture, etc., always bring me inexplicable peace. While traveling, I also carry on my job to find a balance between my life and career. Especially working in a variety of places can give me more inspiration and sparks. Not only did I earn a bachelor's degree in Tourism and Culture in Taiwan, but I have just graduated with a Master's degree in Tourism Management from Bournemouth University. Meanwhile, I obtained the status of tour guide and tour leader. During the period of schooling, it fostered my deep interest in culture and history. Moreover, exploring and tasting delicious food worldwide is one of my interests. Hence, the itineraries and the advice I arrange and make for customers are planned around slow-based and historically significant sights and cuisine to provide an enjoyable but alternative travel experience in such a fast-paced society. I have a deeper understanding that each country has unique characteristics and culture after traveling to a number of countries. For instance, the most stunning scenery I have seen is in Iceland; the most mysterious country is Armenia; the place with unexpected scenery is Malta; the most impressive is Jordan, while the most friendly country is Taiwan. Hence, all of memories I gained makes me want to digitize the travel experience and share them more specifically. I hope to help people all over the world feels effortless to plan each of adventure by compiling travel experience into well-organized guidebooks and itineraries that contains my personal travel tips and advice!

SonderScripts
Lives in London, UK
Hello Wanderers, My name is Michelle, and my store is named SonderScripts. The name was inspired by the term ‘Sonder’ which refers to the profound feeling of realizing that every passerby or person you meet, has a life as vivid or complex as ones own. As I wondered the streets of foreign countries on my travels I always imagined what my life would be like in a strangers shoes, this sparked various day dreams of wild and wonderful adventures as well as the acknowledgment of challenges and struggle in the context of the environment I was in. Since then I made it my mission to explore various ends of the earth and immerse myself in the culture, society and livelihood of each place I visited. A bit about me: I hold dual nationality of South Africa, Germany and United Kingdom. I was born and grew up in South Africa. I was blessed with the opportunity to travel from a very young age, spanning Europe, America and through university I ventured to Australia. I have since moved to the United Kingdom and lived here for almost a decade. Most of my time and earnings from my career as a Psychologist is spent jetting off all over the world as much as I can and at least 5 times a year. What I offer: I have a passion for people, animals, food and culture, and I aspire to share it with you through guides, itineraries, maps and personal travel services. Follow me as I guide you through the phenomenal, outlandish and exquisite lands of the world we live in.

Becca & Debs | Pride Escapes
Lives in Colchester, UK
Hi there! We are Debs and Becs, wife and wife team who are on a mission to explore as many corners of this earth as we can. We own a few businesses and run them remotely whilst on our adventures around the globe. One of our businesses, Pride Escapes, is relatively new and is focused around creating content that can help others plan their upcoming trips based on our personal experiences and knowledge about these areas. It sounds odd, but I (Becs) honestly enjoy the planning process of a trip as much as the actual trip itself. I LOVE spending hours researching a destination before we head off on an adventure and I always try to connect with local business owners of my destination to ensure I get the most out of a holiday. I figured that if I was already putting in the effort to plan my own holidays, perhaps it would be helpful to find a platform where I could pass this information on to others who maybe do not enjoy the planning part as much as I do. Our guides are also perfect for those who simply don't have the time to put into the research and want to have an extensive roster of information at hand for their upcoming trip. Wherever you're headed or whatever you need, we would be honoured to be a part of your travelling experience. Drop us a message or head over to our website for further contact information. - Debs & Becs

A serial expat and passionate travel planner, I'm here to inspire and empower your future travels, so you can take the stress out of travel planning and just enjoy the ride. If you're curious about moving abroad but need someone to bounce ideas with or ask question, I'd be happy to be your sounding board too. My name is Sara, I'm originally from Sweden and I've lived in the UK for over 7 years now. I'm passionate about travel, learning about new cultures, and discovering new places. This far, I have been fortunate enough to live in 4 countries and visit 28. I love planning trips and excursions, and I wish to share my excitement, recommendations and travel tips&tricks with you. When I travel myself, I tend to look for beautiful views, good places to eat and/or people watch, and good value places to stay. I tend to look at budget-medium-splurge options when I plan and depending on what budget that specific trip warrants, I'll have a recommendation to meet it. I have first-hand lived-in experience of places like Stockholm, Vienna, Atlanta (USA), Michigan (USA), and Brighton (the UK) as well as lots of travel experience around Europe, but I also love to research new places and create travel plans based on specific wish lists or criteria. If you are looking for a personalised guide or itinerary for a specific place, please reach out and let's have a chat.

Karoline Kjær-Hansen
Lives in Vejle, Danmark
Danish, spontaneous, adventurous and down to earth. Hi ya! I have been traveling as much as I could since 2020 - Yep I started traveling the most during COVID. But you know what? It actually wasn't that bad. I got to live in England and France during COVID so even though it wasn't the best time to travel I decided to make lemonade ;) Since then I have done a few backpacking travels and I am currently in New Zealand. I love exploring new countries and learn about their culture. Besides that I am a sucker for sunsets and adrenalin filled experiences! I mostly travel like a fancy budgetter🥴 I don't have a lot of money to spend on fancy hotels, dinner outs or massages alle the time, BUT I think it is important to treat yourself and buy that fancy hotel if that's what you need and can afford. I have been using the most disgusting toilets, slept with cockroaches in a floating house, endured the worst thunder and lightning in a night bus and having the worst hangovers before going on a hike. All of this is surrealistic to look back on, but in that moment it just was like that. You can't really prepare to go take a shit in a hole almost standing up. It just happens if you really have to. - Sorry for the nasty images in your head. I'm just trying to say that traveling is to me so much more than just going to a beach with the clearest blue water or watching the sunset with a cocktail in your hand. I have personally evolved and exceeded limits I never thought I would have to all thanks to being able to travel to other countries. Even though I might've scared you a bit, I promise, it's all worth it. I'm here to help you through the good and the not as good parts of traveling to other countries, but first, I need to ensure that you're prepared, confident, courageous, enthusiastic, and ready to go get the world.

Backpack Aleks
Lives in Reykjavík, Islandia
Hi! My name is Aleks and I have been full-time travelling for the last 7 years. During that time I visited 4 continents and 37 countries and am still discovering more. My travels started during my university years, which often meant a tight budget. Instead of giving up travel I just decided to become resourceful and find the perfect itineraries that still fit my tight budget and let me explore the world. On this account, I will be sharing many of the tips and tricks I learned along the way as well as full itineraries that I did and you can follow. My first years of travel were typical backpacking style, hostels, moving from place to place many people and experiences. But as time went by I was also able to do more comfort travel, renting a car with friends and going on road trips. Either way, before every trip, I spend weeks planning and researching and it's one of my favourite parts of the adventure. However, I know it can be overwhelming and tedious at times so I decided to share my research and my itinerary with you. At the moment I still mostly do backpacking-style trips - many destinations, constantly on the move and discovering as much as possible. So if you are looking for an active itinerary you found a perfect place! ✨Testimonials ✨ 'Wow. I am super impressed by the itinerary designed by you. You are meticulous and consider all requirement from us and also consider other aspect. The itinerary format is superb and very easy to read. A lot of effort is done in this itinerary. I have never seen any itinerary as good as your. Thank you! 😊😊'

Lives in Tambre, BL, Italia
📍Tambre, BL - Italy “You’ll never know how beautiful is to travel alone until you do it!” Yes, it’s true. There is some kind of magic about travelling alone, you have nobody with you to talk with, you are alone with yourself, with your mind and with your heart. You can feel the the freedom in everysingle thing you find on your journey, in the blowing wind that uncomb your hair, in the music coming out from a crowded pub or in the noisy main street traffic of a big city, in the silence of an empty train station of a countryside small village or in the sound of the ocean while walking on a coast path with only the seagulls over your head. When I travel I like to feel the nature and the true spirit of a place, I like to walk, to see the little streets of a town, to get into a pub and have a beer or stop for a coffee, to see every unknown corner of that place, and most of all to see places that make me feel in connection with God. From the cliffs on the ocean to the top of a hill, from the last floor of a skyscraper to an old boat moored on a river. I also like to eat and drink, I often want to try the local dishes in the day and, as for now I work as a prfessional barman, sometimes to go for a cocktail tour in the night. My favorite destinations are the main cities of the Country I'm visiting and the small villages near the ocean! I live in Tambre, a small village in the venetian Alps. I traveled a lot in Ireland and UK, but also in northern France, Lithuania, Dubai and around Italy. I speak Italian and conversational in English.

Lives in Naples, Metropolitan City of Naples, Italy
I am a Southern California native, mother of two, military spouse and travel lover currently located in Naples, Italy. I’ve lived and visited many different places and I hope that my travels will help you plan your next great adventure! My guides focus on travel that the whole family can enjoy and feature some of the great places the military has sent us, as well as our own travels. Having lived in many different places, I have local knowledge of a wide variety of places. Two of my favorite recent travels are a month long family trip to Australia and Singapore and a multi-generational Caribbean cruise. I love that some of my kids first core memories will be of our international travels. It is so heart warming to watch them make friends at a foreign playground and having an interaction with a person that doesn’t speak their same language. Now, living in Italy we have many more opportunities for travel, both throughout Europe and locally near Naples, Pompeii, and the Amalfi Coast. We have enjoyed discovering new foods, exploring language and culture. My youngest has an egg allergy that we manage so food and language intertwine often.

Luca Cicatiello
Lives in Napoli, NA, Italia
Ciao travelers my name is Luca, I am a certified ITALIAN travel designer. The travel designer is the one who creates tailor-made travel itineraries. Travel is the meaning of my life. My mother says I’m an eternal dreamer. As soon as I can I take my backpack and go out to discover the world, I call myself a TRAVELLER not a tourist. The tourist makes a type of superficial tourism that stops at the appearance, I do not like tourist places , I think they do not represent the true essence of the trip. The traveller loves to know the habits and customs of the place to breathe the streets and the typical perfumes , to get lost among the smiles of the people of the place, to watch a sunset and to fall in love with it. I love the connection that is created with travelers, i give useful information to make new places known, not to make my own mistakes. The sensations that a trip gives you are unique, it is a memory that will always be in your mind and that is why I want to make it special!! The course gave me the knowledge to create: - tailor-made itineraries - consultation one to one - understand the customer’s needs with simple questions - knowledge of the tourist proposal at different times of the year You can see my posts and videos here : IG: @lucacicatiello_ TIKTOK : @luca_cicatiello
