Visit Bruges! A quintessential medieval city in the Flanders region. Famed for its canals, local Belgian beers and fries, and of course, the rich history and architecture, this city is worth visiting. Or maybe you just love the movie 'In Bruges'. Regardless, you're bound to have a fantastic time in this lovely city. Morning Start your day early Visit the historic Markrt Square and marvel at the stunning architecture here. Don't miss the Belfry Tower! It's the tallest building here and you can see the city in 360 view from the building's roof. Around mid-morning, make your way toward the picturesque canals of Bruges. I'd highly recommend a canal cruise as this is a fantastic way to see the city from a different perspective. You'll also go through some of the most popular areas in the city, making it a great way to explore without too much walking. Around noon, head to Groeningemuseum, one of Belgium's most famous museums. Here, you'll see a vast collection of Flemish and Belgian art. Afternoon At this point, you may want to have something to eat. I'd recommend Fritbar for the best fries in town. Be sure to order these with traditional beef stuff. Slow-cooked in Belgian beer, this beef is like no other. From here, visit the historic Basilica of the Holy Blood, a Roman Catholic basilica that has the venerated relic of the Holy Blood of Jesus. The basilica is truly a remarkable piece of architecture and is a must-see for art and history lovers. Evening Go to a supermarket and get yourself some snacks and some nice Belgian beer. Head to Minnewater Park, one of the prettiest parks in the medieval city, and enjoy a nice picnic. You can also see some swans here which makes it more magical. If you still have time on your hands, visit one of the local breweries and try out some more Belgian beer. Trust me, you won't regret it. Have a lovely trip!
