A less travelled path of New Zealand is along the southern coast line but it is absolutely worth a look if you love sandy beaches and a rugged coast line. You’ll also miss some of the crowds and meet some incredible people!

Rakiura, New Zealand’s third Island is known as the land of the blushing skies. Not only will you witness some incredible sunrises and sunsets but the native flora and fauna will blow you away! If you’re not wanting to do many of the overnight hikes on offer, then 3-5 days is the perfect amount of time to explore the insane beauty that is Rakiura. If you plan to do the 5 day itenerary pack light, the last two days are an overnight hike followed by a return to invercargill via a flight from Masons Bay. So you’ll have to carry everything you bring over!
