Churchill is located on Hudson Bay, at the mouth of the Churchill River and on the edge of the Arctic Circle. To say Churchill is remote is an understatement. There are no 
roads in, so your only way to arrive is either by air or a two 
day (one way) train ride. 

Churchill is known as the Polar Bear capital of the world, and is the location of the annual Beluga whale migration. Each of these has a very short season of viewing.  Polar Bears can typically be found in October and November, but can vary slightly (I was lucky enough to encounter 3 in July). Beluga season is mid July to mid August. It is also one of the premier places in the world to see the Aurora Borealis, more commonly known as the Northern Lights.  The best time for the AB is late Fall, Winter, and early Spring. 

I went at the end of July and stayed for 4 nights and 5 days for the Beluga whale migration and it was worth every single penny it cost. Make no mistake, this is not an inexpensive trip due to Churchill's location. Everything has to be either flown, or railed in, so their costs reflect that. There is only one commercial airline that flies there from Winnipeg.  But again, it was totally worth it and I can only describe sharing the waters with the Belugas as a magical experience. I will be back.

No matter how many times you've been on an adventure, finding the next one can be intimidating. I offer consultation calls on any size of adventure from a local day trip to longer trips abroad. All of the recommendations I make are from personal experience and years of trying all different kinds of activities, so I can provide useful insight you may not find online.

My adventure style is more active, and I love an activity that gets your adrenaline going - think trips with hiking, ziplining and/or via ferrata. I also believe that food is a very important part of an adventure so I've got you covered on affordable restaurant recommendations. That being said, I have a really wide range of interests so I can also recommend museums, spas, or other slower activities.

Each itinerary takes into consideration the length of your stay, the members of your group and your travel preferences. If you've already done some research or have bucket list items you want to hit, I'll make sure those are on the list. If you've visited a location before and are looking for new things to try, I'll make sure there are no reptations on the list. If you have no idea what you want to see, I'll create an itinerary that pulls together the best of your destination. I only recommend places I've been so you can rest assured that the items on your itinerary are high quality.

Custom itineraries will provide you with a day by day break down of what to do and all the information you will need to enjoy each attraction. Considerations like best time to visit, what to bring and transportation between attractions will all be considered.
