Sabah, on the beautiful island of Borneo, is seriously one of the most underrated places I’ve been to! It’s Malaysia’s second-largest state and shares the island with Indonesia and Brunei, making it a super diverse and interesting spot. You’ll find everything here—amazing landscapes, unique cultures, and beautiful beaches. It was once known as North Borneo and used to be a British colony in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Sabah finally got self-government on August 31, 1963.
