I'm an American in London who has lived here over 20 years. I adore travelling and our trips (my partner and I) always involve something artsy (gallery, museum), nature, exercise, wandering, good food and lots of cafe stops. Besides London have spent serious amounts of time in Paris France although my french is a work in progress. I will always try to recommend places my partner and I been to personally. We have done backpacking through Thailand, Morocco and Egypt, done mid range hotels through Europe and have done luxury too where we've eaten at Michelin Restaurants and stayed at Posh hotels. So a real range in our holidays but we always try to have a good balance in whatever we do. I mostly travel solo and I'm usually on a budget (the cheaper I can travel, the more I travel!), but I'll invest more money for the right experience (Hot Air Baloon in Cappadocia, I'm looking at you!). In every job I've been at, I was known as the "crazy traveler" - you know that person that lands at 5am on a Monday and is in the office at 9am? or the one jetting off for the 2 days weekend every other week? Or the one that always comes back with some crazy stories? all of the above... it's me! There are not many things I wouldn’t be willing to try and I can’t think of any while writing this. We converted a 2022 Ford Transit Van to be our mobile home on wheels. Since we completed Clifford (he's big and red), we've been to Colorado, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, California, Utah, Oregon, Washington, up the Alaskan Highway, and into Alaska. We are on a quest to see all 63 US National Parks, so far we've seen 41 in 2023 and more to come. We were both raised in Colorado but have spent the past 10 years bouncing around New York City, NY, Berlin, Germany, Detroit, Michigan. While those are fantastic places filled with wonderful memories, we are happy to be closer to our families in Colorado.
