Lives in Paris, France
Hello et bonjour ! I'm (another) American in Paris. I've lived in France since 2016 and I loooove sharing my Paris & France recs in hopes I can help others love this city and country as much as I do. I'm quite confident I've seen more of France than most French people, so no matter what you're looking for, I've (probably) done it! ✅ What I'm a great fit for: Mature travelers, couples, solo travelers, and families who enjoy soaking in authentic experiences, great food and wine, off-the-beaten-track gems, classic sites, and sustainable travel. 🌱 What's sustainable travel about? Traveling in a way that is kind to the environment, respectful of local culture, & supportive of the local economy. My trip-planning services are always through a sustainable lens. ❌ What I'm not a great fit for: Travelers focused on bars/clubbing or high-end shopping. ➡️ Follow me on TikTok, Instagram & Pinterest @hilaryinparis for Paris & France recommendations, tips, personal stories, and more. 🌍 PS: I'm on Thatch because I genuinely love sharing France with folks. My day job is running Yugen Earthside, a booking platform for responsible package trips primarily catering to groups of mature American travelers. My company's website is linked below.

Bery Istanbul Tips

Lives in İstanbul, Türkiye
Do you want to explore Türkiye (Turkey) LIKE A LOCAL? Then you're in the correct place! I'm a Mexican living in Istanbul for the past 8 years. Me and my husband who was born and raised in Istanbul and is a licensed tour guide in Turkiye we both love exploring the country and share everything through our social media and guides with our amazing audience. What makes us way different is that you’ll never see us recommending ultra popular spots that have become “trendy” thanks to TikTok or Instagram because more likely they are just tourist traps and you’ll end up dissapointed either for the bad quality of the services, prices, etc, instead, we show you the city and country in a much more authentic way, from a LOCAL eye, in a way that surely you’ll remember forever. In addition to that, we also give you our little secrets that most don’t know about, we go deeper into detail and that I, of course, have learnt throughout these years of living here and experiencing every corner of the city, and tricks that also my Istanbulite husband have thought me. So, are you ready to explore the city in an authentic way? If so, our guides and itineraries are tailored exactly for that, and trust me, they’ll save you MONTHS and MONTHS of research and stress! Everything you need for an Istanbul trip is compiled here, It took me almost a year to put everything together for you, and my ebooks that became BEST SELLERS almost right away after launching them in February of 2022, now I share them here with the platform’s format, they have been very welcomed by my audience and have made a huge impact when planning their trips to Istanbul. What are you waiting for? Our guides are just a click away!

Josefina Ginevra
Lives in Geneva, Suiza
Hello, I'm Josefina, an Argentinian now living in Geneva, Switzerland (fun fact: my last name is Ginevra, which is the translation to Geneva in Italian). My journey from a career in psychology to becoming a travel planner has been quite an adventure, just like the trips I craft. When I relocated to Geneva with my husband, I faced the challenge of finding a job in a new country with a different language. This shift in my life opened the door to another passion of mine: travel. Throughout my time in Europe, I've explored well-known destinations and uncovered hidden gems, many of which are right here in this beautiful country I now call home. Travel has always held a special place in my heart. Even as a teenager, I enjoyed creating travel plans, but I never realized it could become more than just a hobby. It was the feedback from my trips with family and friends that inspired me. They marveled at how well everything was organized, from hotel choices to dining experiences and the unique places we visited. Their encouragement led me to consider a career in travel planning, but I wasn't sure how to make it happen until I discovered this platform. Thanks to Thatch, I'm now pursuing my dreams by crafting comprehensive guides and itineraries and offering my services as a travel planner. I invite you to explore my guides and see how I work. If you ever desire a personalized Eurotrip plan, don't hesitate to reach out. I'll plan your journey as if it were my own, taking into account your preferences, budget, and needs. Let's transform your travel dreams into reality!

Costa Tica Travel
Lives in Guanacaste Province, Coco, Costa Rica
Hi! I'm Kimi, your Costa Rica expert! ☀️ I've been living in Guanacaste, Costa Rica for three years now, but I have been a repeat traveler to CR since 2016. My experiences have enabled me to create carefully crafted content inspired by local knowledge. ➡️ Living in Costa Rica has given me the opportunity to get to know Costa Rica's top destinations authentically. Before living in Guanacaste, I lived in Heredia, outside of San Jose, for 5 months. From Tamarindo to Puerto Jimenez, Monteverde to Uvita, Puerto Viejo to Playas del Coco, I've had the opportunity to travel to all different destinations and discover many hidden gems off the typical Costa Rica itinerary. As far as types of travel, I'm a big advocate of slow travel, but I have done many different kinds of travel within CR. I have planned or helped others plan backpacking, family, and girl trips to this beautiful country. Working as an international teacher has given me a different perspective in advising longer trips to Costa Rica. I've learned many tips and tricks for finding community, getting around without a car, leasing an apartment, learning Spanish, renting a vehicle, and surviving in the hot province of Guanacaste. It's very important to me, as a traveler, that I understand the cultural context of the country I am traveling to. My goal is to help my clients feel comfortable and confident in Costa Rica, while respecting this country's unique norms and culture. My itineraries and guides are designed with all kinds of travelers in mind. From solo traveling to family trips, I've helped many people plan their dream vacation to Costa Rica. My goal is for you to experience Costa Rica at its most authentic, getting to know and interact with its unique culture and biodiversity. I’m excited for all that awaits you when you answer the call to this natural wonderland. I’m happy to help in whatever way I can along the way! Pura vida! https://costaticatravel.com/

Karen Kandelman
Lives in London, UK
My name is Karen Kandelman, and I've had the incredible privilege of living in six diverse countries, traversing through fifty others, and immersing myself in the vibrant tapestry of human existence. I am originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil but have been living in London for 7 years now. From an early age, I was captivated by the beauty of diversity, drawn to the melodies of languages as varied as the landscapes they belong to. My linguistic odyssey began with Portuguese, my mother tongue, and expanded to include Spanish, English, French, and Dutch. These languages are not just a means of communication for me; they're windows into the hearts and minds of people from every corner of the Earth. My journey has taken me through bustling city streets and serene countryside, from the sun-soaked beaches of Brazil to the snow-capped peaks of the Alps. With every border crossed, I've embraced the local flavors that tell stories of heritage and tradition. Food, after all, is the world's most accessible work of art, a masterpiece that captures the essence of a culture with each delectable bite. Whether savoring a rich and hearty bouillabaisse in Marseille, indulging in the intricate spices of Indian cuisine, or relishing the delicate nuances of sushi in Tokyo, I've found my sense of wonder through the world's kitchens. But my exploration doesn't end with food; it extends to the world of art as well. Museums, galleries, and street art have been my guides to understanding the soul of each place I've visited. From the classical brushstrokes of the Louvre to the vibrant murals of Mexico City's neighborhoods, art has revealed the aspirations, struggles, and dreams of humanity throughout time. Through my experiences, I've come to understand that the essence of a place is not solely in its landmarks, but in the stories of its people. The elderly street vendor sharing tales of their family's recipes, the street artist pouring their heart onto the canvas of the city walls – these are the true narrators of a locale's spirit. As I continue this lifelong adventure of exploration, my goal is to bridge the gap between cultures, languages, and traditions. I aim to bring the world closer together, one plate and one canvas at a time. Through the lens of food and art, I hope to inspire others to embark on their own journeys of discovery, embracing the rich diversity that makes our planet an exquisite masterpiece. So, let's embark on this adventure together. As I share my stories, experiences, and musings, may we find common ground in our shared humanity and celebrate the kaleidoscope of life that surrounds us. Here's to the thrill of discovery, the joy of a new taste, and the beauty that is inherent in our world's every corner.

David Morard
Hey,  Thank you for stopping by and reading my bio. My name is David Morard. I grew up in the Swiss Alps, raised by a Spanish mother and a Swiss father. Lost amid a cultural blend, I have struggled to feel at home anywhere. It is what, I believe, has set me on the path of a "nomadic lifestyle".  (sorry for using this phrase but It does explain well) From an early age, I was already curious about different cultures and would be intrigued by people's nationality and country. Having the chance to grow up speaking two different languages (French and Spanish) didn't feel enough, and my first extended trip took me to New Zealand to learn English. Since then, the itch in my feet hasn't stopped.  As much as travelling has always been appealing, finding the style of travel I loved took me some time. I even slowly made a career in hospitality and tourism, starting from helping in hostels across South America to managing a boutique surf camp in Indonesia. But this is enough of my little person; in the end, I am just another lost soul that can't stand still somewhere, and when I get bored, I move somewhere else.  However, through this path, I wasn't too bad at planning and decided to name myself a travel designer and start "Unnaut." A travel platform focused on designing conscious travel itineraries. I promote slow-adventure travel by the ocean and help you get the most out of the culture of the country you would like to travel to.  Here in Thatch, I will be sharing spaces I have discovered and have loved to spend time at. Spaces I would like you to enjoy in your future adventure. And if you would like something that reflects you, just hit me up. ✉️ info@unnaut.space 🌐 new website coming soon

Lives in Lisbon, Portugal
Hi, I'm Fiona! I'm beyond excited to help you explore the amazing plant-based food Lisbon (and Portugal) has to offer! A native of Chicago, USA, it was my lifelong dream to live in Europe. After living in Germany, Italy, and Switzerland, I finally made Lisbon my home in 2023. My favorite thing is exploring new places through delicious plant-based food, so upon arriving in Lisbon, my first order of business was to try out all the plant-based food options in my new city. And let me tell you, it's been a seriously delicious job! As a certified holistic nutritionist and plant-based personal chef with a master's degree in hospitality, I love showing others how amazing plant-based food can be. At the same time, I'm no stranger to traveling somewhere new (be it a new city or a new country) and struggling to find plant-based options. Nobody wants to be surrounded by delicious food and have to settle for a sad salad and a plate of fries, am I right?! With Plant-Based Lisbon, my goal is to help you navigate eating plant-based in Lisbon and greater Portugal with ease; get to know the delicious cuisine this wonderful country is known for; and do it all in a stress-free way that allows you to truly enjoy your trip. Lives in Belgrade, Србија
Hi, my name is Kristina and I am an adventurer passionate about slow travel. I’ve dedicated the last 5 years of my life to exploring the world, and gaining wider understanding on travel planning-especially budget friendly one! As I prioritize slow travel, I have chosen moving away from my homeland Serbia, and have spent 1 and a half year in New York, 6 months in San Francisco and around 2 years in Madrid. During my stay, I have done as much of traveling as possible, using up my days off, weekends and public holidays. I’ve joined this amazing platform in order to share my passion for my favorite places, as well as all the knowledge I have gained along the way. I will be sharing my favorite itineraries, budget tips, cultural insights, best coffee, places to eat, cool activites, and more. I can help you add the element of the authentic, local experience while abroad, and be of great help to different types of travelers, especially those with tighter budgets, traveling solo or studying\volunteering abroad. I specialize in Spain, though I am not limited to it, as I’ve had a lot of experience in travel while living abroad, where I have independently planned each and every one of my adventures. Hence, I am looking forward to helping you have the bestest time by taking care of that heavy planning part, so that you can fully enjoy your stay. I can help you out in 3 languages – Serbian , English and Spanish, so don’t hesitate to contact me!
