Trina Phillips
Lives in Tamale, Ghana
Hi, I’m Trina, and I was bitten by the travel bug more than 30 years ago! I started exploring the world independently way back, and since 2017, I’ve been a full-time traveler, diving deep into the rich cultures of Southeast Asia (7 countries) and Africa (11 countries). Currently based in Tamale, Ghana, I’m all about experiencing destinations in a real, down-to-earth way—no luxury fluff, just genuine adventures. And starting in January 2025, I’ll be traveling overland from Ghana to Namibia in what I have creatively dubbed, Africa Tour 2025. My travel style? Comfort-budget. I stay in local spots that are as inexpensive as I can get and still be comfortable. I eat where the locals do and hop on public transport when it makes sense. However, I do slide up to mid-range now and again for an extra bit of comfort and for clients who prefer a softer stay. Whether you’re looking for vibrant markets, hidden gems, or cultural hotspots, I’ve been there, done that, and am more than happy to pass along what I’ve learned—honestly and without the hype. I’m a big believer in being upfront. My guides and consultations come from real experiences, and I never recommend anything I wouldn’t do myself. You’ll find my approach both informative and practical because I want you to have an incredible, stress-free trip. Whether you’re tackling the lively streets of Accra or searching for unique experiences across Africa, I’ve got the insights to help you navigate it all. And let’s not forget the creative side! I have a huge passion for arts and crafts, especially anything performance-related like drumming, so you’ll often find those cultural highlights in my recommendations. My goal is simple: to help you have the best adventure possible, with all of the fun and none of the hassle. If you’re looking for honest, practical advice from someone who’s been there and done that, I’d love to help you plan your next unforgettable journey!

David Morard
Hey,  Thank you for stopping by and reading my bio. My name is David Morard. I grew up in the Swiss Alps, raised by a Spanish mother and a Swiss father. Lost amid a cultural blend, I have struggled to feel at home anywhere. It is what, I believe, has set me on the path of a "nomadic lifestyle".  (sorry for using this phrase but It does explain well) From an early age, I was already curious about different cultures and would be intrigued by people's nationality and country. Having the chance to grow up speaking two different languages (French and Spanish) didn't feel enough, and my first extended trip took me to New Zealand to learn English. Since then, the itch in my feet hasn't stopped.  As much as travelling has always been appealing, finding the style of travel I loved took me some time. I even slowly made a career in hospitality and tourism, starting from helping in hostels across South America to managing a boutique surf camp in Indonesia. But this is enough of my little person; in the end, I am just another lost soul that can't stand still somewhere, and when I get bored, I move somewhere else.  However, through this path, I wasn't too bad at planning and decided to name myself a travel designer and start "Unnaut." A travel platform focused on designing conscious travel itineraries. I promote slow-adventure travel by the ocean and help you get the most out of the culture of the country you would like to travel to.  Here in Thatch, I will be sharing spaces I have discovered and have loved to spend time at. Spaces I would like you to enjoy in your future adventure. And if you would like something that reflects you, just hit me up. ✉️ info@unnaut.space 🌐 new website coming soon

Susanna | Sustainable Travel
Lives in Vancouver, BC, Canada
Hey there, I'm Susanna, but you can call me Sooz! I was born and raised on Denai’ina Athabascan land in Chugiak, Alaska. I'm a dual-US-Canadian citizen who has lived in: 🇺🇸 Alaska (25 years) 🇺🇸 Las Vegas (2 years) 🇩🇪 Munich (7 years!) 🇨🇦 Vancouver (currently home) I am a sustainable travel expert with Alaska, Europe, Western Canada, and Australia as my areas of expertise. ♻️ I am passionate about helping people understand and plan sustainable travel adventures, gain confidence in building responsible itineraries independently, or rely on me for help. I aim to make a sustainable travel approachable and align with your values and interests to make it fun and beneficial for you and the communities you visit. 🐝I have an MSc in environmental science. My thesis explored the intersection of tourism and the environment. I have worked in the tourism industry for over a decade as a local Alaskan guide, travel blogger, freelance writer, and academic. 🎒After my first backpacking trip to Europe 15 years ago and solo travel in Brazil, I started my first travel blog. It has undergone many transformations but is now a 100% sustainable travel resource. Travel left me feeling too big for my small town, and one day, I loaded up my trusty Subaru and drove to Las Vegas, where I met my now-Australian husband at a nightclub. That serendipitous encounter led to us moving to Germany, where we got permanent residency and lived for 7 years! 🚙My time in Europe was spent campervanning around Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Germany, Norway, and Sweden, hiking and snowboarding extensively in the Alps, and visiting many of Europe's incredible rural areas and national parks. I recently moved to Vancouver, Canada, where I hope to stay for some time and plan EV road trips! I travel back to Alaska and Australia often. I look forward to connecting with you and hope to inspire you on your next sustainable trip!

Lacey Keigley
Lives in Greenville, SC, USA
I love traveling like a local but I'm not afraid to feel like a tourist too. I'm a "both and" sort of traveler. I want to travel a LOT so I need it to be affordable. I want to KNOW I am somewhere unique & special, so I'm willing to make that happen. I am a single mom so my expertise is in making it family friendly, fun AND affordable. And oh yeah - VERY memorable. I've had repeat visits to several locations - Colorado Springs, Denver, San Juan la Laguna, Utah, Virginia to name a few. And I adore treating my hometowns like vacation spots so I can tell you all you need to know about Greenville, SC and Travelers Rest, SC and Asheville, NC and Roanoke, VA - for starters! I'm also an ace girls trip planner. Just ask my friends who have accompanied me to cabins in North Carolina and Georgia, adventure trips in Midway, Utah, weekend stays in Savannah GA and Charleston SC and state park adventures across the United States. Themed trips are a special interest to me - especially ones centered around literature or reading. I've also traveled out of the country - Paris, London, Guatemala - with a lot of kids so I can make that accessible too. In fact - ACCESSIBLE might be my best travel descriptor and super power. I LOVE chatting about your upcoming trip and brainstorming ideas. I can go from - "I will plan every detail for you" to "Here's some highlights and you can take it from there" according to your own personal choice! Let's get you horseback in a national forest, parasailing over the ocean, electric bike riding across a mountain or touring Charles Dickens' actual home, visiting the birthplace of the Girl Scouts or having a picnic beside Thoreau's actual Walden Pond.

Ani Danelz | National Park Guide
Lives in Houghton, MI, USA
Welcome to my (and hopefully our) adventures! I have lived all over the United States, and I have a passion for the outdoors and budget-travel. My style of travel is easy-going, yet filled with adventure and excitement. I focus on connecting with people and community, as well as immersing myself in the outdoors as much as possible. Finding a balance between these two have led to some amazing memories, and I cannot wait to share them with you. Most recently, I lived in my car for over seven months, while I visited every National Park in the lower 48. I hiked, camped, met amazing people, and hiked some more. I got to experience the parks like a local, because I had no timetable, no flights to catch, no rental car to return, etc. Some parks I stayed only for a few hours, and others for over a week. I chatted with park rangers, stayed with people that lived nearby, and camped with others at some amazing campsites. The travel guides I share give you an "insider" look at the national park, with tips for the best hikes, tricks for finding campsites (but I always include hotel options too), as well as information about the various aspects of the parks. I hope that you will use these guides as tools to fuel your next national park adventure!
