Costa Tica Travel
Lives in Guanacaste Province, Coco, Costa Rica
Hi! I'm Kimi, your Costa Rica expert! ☀️ I've been living in Guanacaste, Costa Rica for three years now, but I have been a repeat traveler to CR since 2016. My experiences have enabled me to create carefully crafted content inspired by local knowledge. ➡️ Living in Costa Rica has given me the opportunity to get to know Costa Rica's top destinations authentically. Before living in Guanacaste, I lived in Heredia, outside of San Jose, for 5 months. From Tamarindo to Puerto Jimenez, Monteverde to Uvita, Puerto Viejo to Playas del Coco, I've had the opportunity to travel to all different destinations and discover many hidden gems off the typical Costa Rica itinerary. As far as types of travel, I'm a big advocate of slow travel, but I have done many different kinds of travel within CR. I have planned or helped others plan backpacking, family, and girl trips to this beautiful country. Working as an international teacher has given me a different perspective in advising longer trips to Costa Rica. I've learned many tips and tricks for finding community, getting around without a car, leasing an apartment, learning Spanish, renting a vehicle, and surviving in the hot province of Guanacaste. It's very important to me, as a traveler, that I understand the cultural context of the country I am traveling to. My goal is to help my clients feel comfortable and confident in Costa Rica, while respecting this country's unique norms and culture. My itineraries and guides are designed with all kinds of travelers in mind. From solo traveling to family trips, I've helped many people plan their dream vacation to Costa Rica. My goal is for you to experience Costa Rica at its most authentic, getting to know and interact with its unique culture and biodiversity. I’m excited for all that awaits you when you answer the call to this natural wonderland. I’m happy to help in whatever way I can along the way! Pura vida! https://costaticatravel.com/

A serial expat and passionate travel planner, I'm here to inspire and empower your future travels, so you can take the stress out of travel planning and just enjoy the ride. If you're curious about moving abroad but need someone to bounce ideas with or ask question, I'd be happy to be your sounding board too. My name is Sara, I'm originally from Sweden and I've lived in the UK for over 7 years now. I'm passionate about travel, learning about new cultures, and discovering new places. This far, I have been fortunate enough to live in 4 countries and visit 28. I love planning trips and excursions, and I wish to share my excitement, recommendations and travel tips&tricks with you. I have first-hand lived-in experience of places like Stockholm, Vienna, Atlanta (USA), Michigan (USA), and Brighton (the UK) as well as lots of travel experience around Europe, but I also love to research new places and create travel plans based on specific wish lists or criteria. Have passport - will travel. I am a certified licensed and insured Exploration Specialist and running a women-owned travel agency, working with many vetted premier travel industry vendor partners. A little about me: - Acquired over 27 years experience in the hospitality and tourism industry, - Traveled to 7 continents, 64 countries and crossed both polar circles, - Have an odd propensity in finding Irish Pubs in foreign cities throughout the world, - Successfully combined these experiences and habits into helping individuals discover exciting adventures throughout the globe. My passion is travel. I live it, I work it, I love it. My page offers straightforward, no unnecessary fluff*, day-by-day travel itineraries that you can easily save and follow or customize to your liking. Uniting my project management skills and attention to detail with my passion for travel and cultural immersion, I design and curate journey's which create memories that last a lifetime. *What does "No unnecessary fluff" mean? Well, you know those extraneous online recipes you try to sort through just to get to the recipe? But, you have to work through personal background details, stories about puppies and varuious types of flour; and then you get all those pop-up ads....well, my itineraries don't have all that "extra". They are just extra in their simplicity. Day-by-day itinerary with recommendations, insight, and a step-by-step guide. Simple. "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication." -Leonardo da Vinci

Sarah Pollock
Lives in Madrid, Spain
Sarah Pollock is a twenty-something-year-old traveler, creative, and spiritualist. She graduated with a degree in Business Information Systems (although she did not enjoy it) and a minor in Sustainability from the University of Florida. Since embarking on her first trip abroad to Australia and New Zealand at 15 years old, she has since visited 25 countries and counting- most of them solo. She is also an avid foodie, reader, concert-goer, sitter at coffee shops, introspective thinker, and champion of small businesses. She prides herself on her romantic and nostalgic approach to seeing the world, which is reflected in the hidden gem-filled and slightly sentimental tone of her writing and recommendations. She recently spent this past school year splitting time between Tel Aviv and Be’er Sheva, Israel; teaching English to underrepresented and underprivileged children in both Hebrew and Arabic-speaking schools. She is currently continuing this work in Madrid. For more personal thoughts and musings and present updates on where she is in the world and how she’s feeling about it, consider subscribing to her bi-weekly travel newsletter, Postcards. Other subject matters, though all undoubtedly influenced by her experience living abroad, are explored through her primary publication, Older Sister (both linked in bio).

Karoline Kjær-Hansen
Lives in Vejle, Danmark
Danish, spontaneous, adventurous and down to earth. Hi ya! I have been traveling as much as I could since 2020 - Yep I started traveling the most during COVID. But you know what? It actually wasn't that bad. I got to live in England and France during COVID so even though it wasn't the best time to travel I decided to make lemonade ;) Since then I have done a few backpacking travels and I am currently in New Zealand. I love exploring new countries and learn about their culture. Besides that I am a sucker for sunsets and adrenalin filled experiences! I mostly travel like a fancy budgetter🥴 I don't have a lot of money to spend on fancy hotels, dinner outs or massages alle the time, BUT I think it is important to treat yourself and buy that fancy hotel if that's what you need and can afford. I have been using the most disgusting toilets, slept with cockroaches in a floating house, endured the worst thunder and lightning in a night bus and having the worst hangovers before going on a hike. All of this is surrealistic to look back on, but in that moment it just was like that. You can't really prepare to go take a shit in a hole almost standing up. It just happens if you really have to. - Sorry for the nasty images in your head. I'm just trying to say that traveling is to me so much more than just going to a beach with the clearest blue water or watching the sunset with a cocktail in your hand. I have personally evolved and exceeded limits I never thought I would have to all thanks to being able to travel to other countries. Even though I might've scared you a bit, I promise, it's all worth it. I'm here to help you through the good and the not as good parts of traveling to other countries, but first, I need to ensure that you're prepared, confident, courageous, enthusiastic, and ready to go get the world.
