I spent some time in London - about 7 years - and had my first job in Singapore. Growing up, I was often spent my school holidays in Japan for family reunion. When I travel, I enjoy going solo and trying local foods. I'm also interested in learning about different cultures, history, and art. It's always fascinating to see how these aspects shape a place. One thing I really enjoy is taking photos when I explore a new city. I'm particularly fond of using film cameras, though I'm still learning and improving. Sometimes I also write a bit or do some sketches - it's just a nice way to remember the places I've been. I tend to prefer quieter spots - the hidden gems when I travel. I'm an American in London who has lived here over 20 years. I adore travelling and our trips (my partner and I) always involve something artsy (gallery, museum), nature, exercise, wandering, good food and lots of cafe stops. Besides London have spent serious amounts of time in Paris France although my french is a work in progress. I will always try to recommend places my partner and I been to personally. We have done backpacking through Thailand, Morocco and Egypt, done mid range hotels through Europe and have done luxury too where we've eaten at Michelin Restaurants and stayed at Posh hotels. So a real range in our holidays but we always try to have a good balance in whatever we do. I have traveled for work the majority of my life, but always find time on each trip to find the best local spots. I've visited 49/50 states and lived in 8 states, not to mention the temporary ones I call home for weeks on the road with work. I love a good road trip with the windows down and amazing music while finding the best local coffee shops and hikes. Sometimes even the quickest trip to a nearby town is enough to satisfy the travel bug. I am a massive foodie and will always seek out the best meals to have in each city I visit. A good meal can tell a lot about the culture and the town that you are in and often is what you remember most when you leave. No trip is too big or too small to plan. I love all types of adventure and can't want to help you plan yours! It's important to find locations that give the full experience to enjoy and make you feel happy to be there and that each trip is work it.

Welcome to my (and hopefully our) adventures! I have lived all over the United States, and I have a passion for the outdoors and budget-travel. Most recently, I lived in my car for over seven months, while I visited every National Park in the lower 48. I hiked, camped, met amazing people, and hiked some more. I got to experience the parks like a local, because I had no timetable, no flights to catch, no rental car to return, etc. Some parks I stayed only for a few hours, and others for over a week. I chatted with park rangers, stayed with people that lived nearby, and camped with others at some amazing campsites. The travel guides I share give you an "insider" look at the national park, with tips for the best hikes, tricks for finding campsites (but I always include hotel options too), as well as information about the various aspects of the parks.
