David Morard
Hey,  Thank you for stopping by and reading my bio. My name is David Morard. I grew up in the Swiss Alps, raised by a Spanish mother and a Swiss father. Lost amid a cultural blend, I have struggled to feel at home anywhere. It is what, I believe, has set me on the path of a "nomadic lifestyle".  (sorry for using this phrase but It does explain well) From an early age, I was already curious about different cultures and would be intrigued by people's nationality and country. Having the chance to grow up speaking two different languages (French and Spanish) didn't feel enough, and my first extended trip took me to New Zealand to learn English. Since then, the itch in my feet hasn't stopped.  As much as travelling has always been appealing, finding the style of travel I loved took me some time. I even slowly made a career in hospitality and tourism, starting from helping in hostels across South America to managing a boutique surf camp in Indonesia. But this is enough of my little person; in the end, I am just another lost soul that can't stand still somewhere, and when I get bored, I move somewhere else.  However, through this path, I wasn't too bad at planning and decided to name myself a travel designer and start "Unnaut." A travel platform focused on designing conscious travel itineraries. I promote slow-adventure travel by the ocean and help you get the most out of the culture of the country you would like to travel to.  Here in Thatch, I will be sharing spaces I have discovered and have loved to spend time at. Spaces I would like you to enjoy in your future adventure. And if you would like something that reflects you, just hit me up. ✉️ info@unnaut.space 🌐 new website coming soon

Travel Kat Tours
Lives in Edinburgh, UK
Hi, I'm Kat a female business owner in Edinburgh, Scotland. I run small group and private walking tours. I specialise in Scottish history, film tourism (Harry Potter and Outlander) and the dark side of the witchcraft hunts in Edinburgh. I reside in one of the coolest neighbourhoods in the UK - Leith. Which is famed for it's indie shops, coffee and street art. When I am not guiding around bonnie Scotland I like to travel. I have been lucky enough to travel to over 55 different countries. Usually now with my husband, but on occasion, but have been partial to a solo adventure also. I enjoy exploring bustling cities, enjoying the local food and finding unique places to eat. As a small business owner, I like to find independent places to try out. To me travel is the best education you can give yourself. When I am exploring a new destination I will delve it to the culture and history of that location, and I like to find off the beaten track sights. It is hard to define my favourite country, as I feel many places are special to me. As a keen photographer, the vivid colours of India was incredible. Alongside the vast landscapes of Iceland, where last year (2023) I was fortunate enough to elope there. My guides will be varied, my Scottish guides will be through the lens of a local. I have experience in the industry in creating Scottish itineraries and like to prepare personalised and tailor made plans.

Going...
Lives in Chantilly, VA, USA
🌏 Solo travel, Culture enthusiast, English Teaching, Volunteer 🏕 Camping, Hiking, Roadtrips 🦋 Mindful travel, Budget-friendly Hello! My name is Izzy, I am DC based, and I have traveled to 14 countries + five continents in the last five years. My pursuit is to volunteer abroad, as it allows me to expand my horizons, gaining a profound insight into diverse cultures and their impact on our global community. Additionally, I find great pleasure in exploring various states within the US for my own personal enjoyment. (: Going... is meant to be filled in with the blanks of all of your travel desires! Where I am going and how I am doing it are frequent questions inquired of me from myself... but also by my family, friends, and co-workers.  I have a profound passion for mindful travel, where I wholeheartedly immerse myself in the local culture, while carefully considering country-specific requirements, managing my budget thoughtfully, and prioritizing the exploration of history, interactions with the local people, and appreciation of the natural beauty of the destination. My approach involves actively engaging with the people of my chosen location, as I am dedicated to savoring the essence of the country, city, and its inhabitants before bidding adieu. I gauge the success of my trips by whether I've enjoyed my accommodations, discovered amazing food (and coffee, of course!), engaged in meaningful interactions with locals, acquired new knowledge, and experienced a touch of nature's beauty. I decided to make this page to keep an online journal of my travels and to inspire others to make their leaps into their own adventures. The first steps are hard because you do not know what you don't know. I want to help you ask the right questions, prepare yourself emotionally & practically, and foster excitement in what is ahead! I would love to connect with you to help you meet your travel desires and curate the perfect trip!

Sivan Bokobza
Lives in Marseille, France
Hi there, I am Sivan, a vegan & imperfect sustainable traveller. I like to visit off the tourist trail destinations, or if I do visit more popular destinations I like to do so as responsibly & sustainably as possible. I grew up in the Netherlands, lived in the UK for 16 years, and have lived in Marseille, France, for the last 4 years. I’ve also travelled to around 50 countries all around the world, and have meticulously planned all of them myself. Trip planning, is something I enjoy doing for myself, as well as for my family and friends, and is something I pride myself in. I do hours and hours of research making sure I find the best locally owned accomodation and immersive cultural experiences, to ensure I leave as much of a positive impact on my travels as I can. I mostly travel solo & once I get to my destination, I rely on public transport and overland travel as opposed to flying, where possible. Learning about the local culture & supporting local economies is important to me so I try and stay at either locally-owned guesthouses, homestays, or sustainable boutique hotels, and avoid big chain hotels or Airbnb. I also love looking for local vegan food wherever I go. If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, make sure to follow along on Instagram @sivan_travelsgreen, and check out my detailed sustainable & vegan-friendly guides and itineraries here on Thatch, with a focus on ways in which you can support the local community of the places you’re travelling to. All the places mentioned in my guide, are places I have been to before, and all the itineraries I've tried and tested myself. If you need something more personalised/any tips or advice on a specific location, then we can get on a consultation call to see what I can do for you!
