Just an hour south of Toronto, on the other side of Lake Ontario, the Niagara Region has so much more to offer than just Horseshoe Falls, with world-class stays & attractions, and natural beauty extending far into the region's wine country.
Whether you're going for a day trip or a weekend, you'll know what to expect and have plenty of recommendations for eats and drinks during your stay.
This is especially important as Niagara Falls is known for having lots of tourist traps and poor-quality establishments.

Your image of a trip to Egypt is one that probably includes lots of desert scenery, majestic ancient ruins in the middle of dunes, and lush gardens around the banks of the Nile. Cairo is none of that.
Cairo is one of - if not the largest, depending on your source - metro area in Africa, and definitely the largest in the Arab World. It's crowded, busy, bustling, noisy, and chaotic. Very few of its site date back to ancient Egypt and most travelers leave either underwhelmed or worn down by the large city. But, this is a really easy fix: adjust your expectations. Because Cairo is a city oozing in culture and history. It's also the center of the Arab World's music and film industries, and has been the preeminent center of culture in the Arab World for over a millennia. With amazing neighborhoods and dynamic experiences, you could easily entertain yourself for four days in Cairo.
So, what should you do in Cairo? I'm glad you asked! Here is my guide to Cairo's best sites.

Raw. Remote. Untamed. Tasmania is just waiting to be discovered. Clean air. Dense rainforests. Deserted beaches. Dramatic sea cliffs. Fascinating wildlife. Glacial valleys. Gorgeous national parks. Hidden caves. Deep lakes. Multi-day hikes. Rugged islands. Wild rivers. Windswept coastlines. Are you curious yet? Add emerging cities, award-winning wineries, straight-from-the-ocean seafood, and gorgeous lodges. Australia's smallest and least-populated state is starting to command attention. It's about time. The island is beautiful. Historic Hobart is now luring artists and foodies. While road trips move through diverse landscapes within relatively short distances. Tassie is not an accidental destination. But those who make the long journey will feel both at home and surprised at every turn.
The Tasmania Guide focuses on Hobart, wine country, and three national parks.
This detailed guide includes:

Stay: hotels
Eat: cafés, farms, food stands, restaurants
Drink: breweries, cocktail bars, distilleries, wineries
Shop: bookstores, local produce
Do: art museums, bays, beaches, bridges, city parks, coves, docks, gardens, hikes, lakes, lookout points, memorials, mountains, national parks, piers, rivers, sculptures, squares, stairs, trails, waterfalls, wharfs, wine tours

Hobart (nipaluna) is the capital and largest city of Tasmania. It's also Australia's southernmost state capital. The city sits at the base of Mount Wellington (kunanyi) and on an estuary of the River Derwent along the island's southeast coast. It's home to about half a million people (that's 40% of the total population). This land was occupied by the Aboriginal Tasmanians before the British founded a penal colony 1804. Whalers, miners, farmers, and, eventually, Antarctic explorers, followed. Tourism has only recently begun to dominate the economy.
Hobart's historic waterfront has cobblestone streets and sandstone warehouses. They're now full of new hotels, exciting art galleries, and locally sourced markets. Battery Point has colonial cottages and cute cafés. The eery Convict Trail starts here. The Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) is just a quick ride up the River Derwent. Mount Wellington hikes offer a great lay of the land. Craft breweries and distilleries keep popping up inside the city; wineries lie just outside. While the restaurant scene is booming. Hobart is more than just a stopover. You should plan to spend at least a few days getting to know Tassie's capital.

Prague whispers history on the wind, its cobbled streets lined with a thousand tales waiting to be unfurled. Majestic castles like Prague Castle, the largest ancient castle complex in the world, pierce the sky, their spires a constant reminder of the city's rich past. The Vltava River, a shimmering ribbon of life, reflects the golden glow of a bygone era, its waters carrying whispers of emperors, artists, and revolutionaries.
But Prague is more than just a museum under an open sky. Here, the past vibrates with the present. The astronomical clock in Old Town Square puts on a mesmerizing hourly spectacle, a reminder of the city's ingenious spirit. The aroma of steaming bowls of goulash wafts from cozy restaurants, promising a feast for the senses. And around every corner lies a charming square, alive with the buzz of conversation, laughter, and the clinking of glasses in cheerful pubs.

I went into 2023 with a huge appetite for travel but very few plans to do so. Little did I know London was on the horizon, and while my annual anniversary trip was much tamer than usual in humble Huntsville AL, I was so glad to do a solo Disney World trip (again), take my girls on the road for the first time to Louisiana, and have lots of Tennessee day trips in between. Enjoy this travel journal of 379 (!!!) places, including:
🖼️ 64 Museums, Gardens, and Attractions
☕️ 53 Coffee Shops
🍽️ 82 Restaurants, Bakeries, Bars, and Food Trucks
🛏️ 29 Hotels, Bed & Breakfasts, and Airbnbs
✨ and a whole bunch more!
