Since then, we have traveled extensively together, especially in the Mediterranean basin: a region whose cultural and environmental richness captures our interest like no other. But it's to the main island - Sicily - that we can’t stop returning. Sicily, at the geographic center of this mythological sea, has been for millennia a crossroads of people who left an astonishing inheritance, making it a cradle of Western civilization. It is an island of endless sunlight, shaped by volcanoes, overflowing with history, beauty but also contradictions. It is a place where the complex natural and human history of the Mediterranean converged and developed in original and captivating ways. We now seek to share our unique expertise and knowledge of Sicily, coming from a lifetime of travel around the island, with like-minded travelers looking for the best quality experiences possible. We offer services developed with deep and unchanging passion for this place and, furthermore, through the eyes of an Italian biologist, geographer, sea lover and free diver and of an American writer, hiker and classic culture enthusiast. Our guides, itineraries and consulting services will give you the context of the place, detailed key information and plenty of options that allow you to design the travel that meets your interests, both to bucket list wonders as well as to hidden treasures that we have discovered ourselves. We are Charlie and Rosie, also known as CinRtravels, two Brits who aim to travel the world whilst documenting it all. From this, we have taken on a second goal to edit our own itinerary to help fellow dreamers get the most out of their travels. Stockholm and its medieval city center is, in fact, built on 14 islands and sits on the banks of the archipelago, where Lake Mälaren meets the Baltic Sea. The vast Stockholm archipelago, made up of about 24,000 islands, fans out 80km from the inlet, and has fabulous boat connections departing directly from city central, making the islands accessible to visitors. With such an array of choice at varying distance, it will be important to pick your destinations ahead of time. If you’d like to experience the area with the enthusiastic eyes of a visitor, but the ease of the local, I can give you some suggestions. After living abroad for many years, working as a photojournalist and filmmaker, I've been rediscovering Stockholm, my home, with the lens. And what’s been the most fascinating to me is nature and the sea, and how very fortunate we are to be able to access it all right here, in our equally beautiful city.
