Born and raised in the small town of Koper on the Slovenian Adriatic coast, I got itchy feet very early in life and devoted my time to traveling every opportunity I could find. After traveling around the world I found my happy place on the island of Siargao in the Philippines. I'm a travel adventurer and love travelling solo as it allows me to find some hidden gems and explore the world from a unique perspective. I love staying at hostels and it feel it is such an underrated accommodation type and can offer a wonderful experience not just for solo travelers but families travelling with kids too. Hello there! My name is Clar! Having moved around to 4 different countries in my childhood, I identify as a third culture kid and love exploring the world. In particular, I love getting the feel of a city, living how the locals live and finding unknown hidden food gems. My style of travel can be described as "slow" and "easy-going". I don't enjoy checking off attractions like a checklist and that it is a must to visit everything in a set location. Rather than feel rushed, I'll selectively pick specific attractions; sometimes out of obligation of "did you really go to ___, if you didn't see ___" but also if there is some personal interest of mine. I've personally done a fair bit of solo female travelling and road tripping with my partner. My trips seek to find the balance to explore both the thrilling hikes but also finding joy in exploring the mundane local supermarkets.
