I’ve lived in California my whole life. I’m an engineer (so was my late husband). I’m very detail-oriented and an extreme introvert. I’m known for planning fabulous adventures, and look forward to helping others plan the best trip they can have. I like adventures, stargazing, hiking, solitude, and food. The people I hike with most frequently know I’ve usually got trail beers in my Camelback for the halfway point (in addition to a full water bladder). My favorite hikes offer something unexpected or spectacular.

I'm a high school librarian who loves traveling. When school is not in session, I am out exploring new places and activities. I moved to Madrid, Spain in summer 2021 from San Francisco, California. I came to Spain for the first time in 2019 and quickly fell in love with the place. I quickly decided to relocate here permanently. I love showing friends around new places that seem to be cropping up every day here. In my first 9 months here, I had 15 friends visit me from abroad (mostly the US) and afterwards, in the interest of efficiency, I wrote a 5-page informal Google Doc to share amongst my friends. This quickly morphed into a more comprehensive guide that I've posted on Thatch. I continue showing friends, family, and friend of friends around Madrid. I've hosted upwards of 30 visitors now including friends with babies, vegetarians, and quick day trippers.
