The Morbid Tourist
New Pro
Lives in London, UK
Hey šŸ‘‹ My name is Louise and The Morbid Tourist is your ultimate guide to weird and wonderful places around the UK and beyond šŸ–¤ Here you'll find guides and itineraries for dark tourism and spooky travel, including haunted places, historic buildings, spooky graveyards, folklore spots and more. If you're looking for a spooky adventure - I'm your gal. Here's why šŸ‘‡ šŸŒ I've lived in the UK my entire life - I know not only the best places to visit, but the darker, alternative and less-touristy places too šŸŖ¦I'd rather visit a hauntingly beautiful graveyard away from the crowds than popular tourist attractions (although they can be fun too sometimes!) āœļø I do my research. I once spent an entire afternoon traipsing through a muddy farm to find a (tiny) historic carving in a brick wall. The spot signified where a butcher was hung for his grisly crimes - and was well worth the find šŸ—ŗļø Planning is my jam. From Google Spreadsheets overflowing with checklists of must-visit places to in-depth Notion templates about different locations - you can bet I've thought about every last detail of a trip šŸ‘» I'm also honest. That pub claiming to be the most haunted in the UK (like every other pub)? It might not be the most haunted but it sure is fun to visit anyway šŸ–¤ I'm passionate about morbid and spooky travel. The kind of travel that combines mystery, history, folklore and so much more. Whether you're a believer in the paranormal or not, the experience of visiting somewhere spooky is unlike no other Whatever you want to call it: dark tourism, legend tripping or just spooky travel, you can find everything you need know here. Plan a spooky adventure with me today ā˜ ļø

Always On PTO
Lives in Hermosa Beach, CA, USA
Hi there, welcome to my page! Nearly 10 years ago, I packed up all of my belongings and moved across the US from my childhood home in Massachusetts to Los Angeles. I had no job, and no plan, but just enough ambition to try something new that got me out of my comfort zone. It wasn't long after arriving in Los Angeles that I discovered my passion for traveling, adventure, and being outdoors. I've been exploring non-stop ever since and have been lucky enough to experience 7 countries, 25 states, and 15 National Parks. I'm an expert in west coast travel, having explored much of California, Arizona, and Utah. I'm a hiker, camper, and love to explore off the beaten path, which you'll see reflected in all of my guides and itineraries. Because of my full-time job and limited PTO, I plan my travel ambitiously, often times driving or flying somewhere on a Friday after work for a weekend. I try to fit in seeing as much of a destination as I possibly can on my trips (even if that means sacrificing some sleep!). I'm always thinking about my next adventure and am very excited to help you plan yours! I hope you're able to find some inspiration with my guides and itineraries, and discover a new place that you want to add to your bucket list. Susanna | Sustainable Travel
Lives in Vancouver, BC, Canada
Hey there, I'm Susanna, but you can call me Sooz! I was born and raised on Denaiā€™ina Athabascan land in Chugiak, Alaska. I'm a dual-US-Canadian citizen who has lived in: šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø Alaska (25 years) šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø Las Vegas (2 years) šŸ‡©šŸ‡Ŗ Munich (7 years!) šŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦ Vancouver (currently home) I am a sustainable travel expert with Alaska, Europe, Western Canada, and Australia as my areas of expertise. ā™»ļø I am passionate about helping people understand and plan sustainable travel adventures, gain confidence in building responsible itineraries independently, or rely on me for help. I aim to make a sustainable travel approachable and align with your values and interests to make it fun and beneficial for you and the communities you visit. šŸI have an MSc in environmental science. My thesis explored the intersection of tourism and the environment. I have worked in the tourism industry for over a decade as a local Alaskan guide, travel blogger, freelance writer, and academic. šŸŽ’After my first backpacking trip to Europe 15 years ago and solo travel in Brazil, I started my first travel blog. It has undergone many transformations but is now a 100% sustainable travel resource. Travel left me feeling too big for my small town, and one day, I loaded up my trusty Subaru and drove to Las Vegas, where I met my now-Australian husband at a nightclub. That serendipitous encounter led to us moving to Germany, where we got permanent residency and lived for 7 years! šŸš™My time in Europe was spent campervanning around Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Germany, Norway, and Sweden, hiking and snowboarding extensively in the Alps, and visiting many of Europe's incredible rural areas and national parks. I recently moved to Vancouver, Canada, where I hope to stay for some time and plan EV road trips! I travel back to Alaska and Australia often. I look forward to connecting with you and hope to inspire you on your next sustainable trip!
