My biggest passion is learning new things and daring myself to do things I thought I wasn't capable of doing. I'm passionate about learning new languages, travelling and understanding new cultures. I moved to Madrid, Spain in summer 2021 from San Francisco, California. I came to Spain for the first time in 2019 and quickly fell in love with the place. I quickly decided to relocate here permanently. I love showing friends around new places that seem to be cropping up every day here. In my first 9 months here, I had 15 friends visit me from abroad (mostly the US) and afterwards, in the interest of efficiency, I wrote a 5-page informal Google Doc to share amongst my friends. This quickly morphed into a more comprehensive guide that I've posted on Thatch. I continue showing friends, family, and friend of friends around Madrid. I've hosted upwards of 30 visitors now including friends with babies, vegetarians, and quick day trippers.

Growing up my family took us on a month long roadtrip round the country every year. As an adult I get out and explore every chance I can! In particular I love outdoor experiences, hiking, kayaking, and seeing the beauty of New Zealand. My favourite part of the country is probably Mount Aspiring National Park.
