Hello! My name is Trent Gertz and I am 21 years old, graduating from Boise State University this May of 2024. I recently moved back to the United States after living abroad in Turin, Italy for 1 year. While abroad I discovered my passion for travel while visiting 26 different countries and 45+ breathtaking cities. I had many early wakeup calls that would start a new adventure when the alarm went off, whether it was hopping on a train, plane, bus, or locals offering rides. I have gained so much knowledge through the weekly journeys, whether that be culture, costs, transportation, dining, or housing accommodations. I feel that through all the speedbumps that each trip threw at me I now can confidently say I can effectively plan and travel all through Europe no matter the circumstances. I am very knowledgeable within the USA as well as I come from a family of airline pilots and flight attendants, so I was born with the angst to see the world and understand all it has to offer. I am recent college grad who has been planning my family's vacations, and then my solo travels, since I was 11 years old! I'm from New York, so NYC is my specialty, but I've been all over the East and West Coasts, as well as much of Europe, and I'm looking to travel to Asia soon. Throughout my solo travels, I've learned that I prefer a balance between tourist attractions and living like a local (with a heavier emphasis on the latter). As a student, I travel on a VERY tight budget, but I've figured out how to stretch every dollar and where to compromise in order to not miss a single experience.
