In particular, I love getting the feel of a city, living how the locals live and finding unknown hidden food gems. My style of travel can be described as "slow" and "easy-going". I don't enjoy checking off attractions like a checklist and that it is a must to visit everything in a set location. Rather than feel rushed, I'll selectively pick specific attractions; sometimes out of obligation of "did you really go to ___, if you didn't see ___" but also if there is some personal interest of mine. I've personally done a fair bit of solo female travelling and road tripping with my partner. My trips seek to find the balance to explore both the thrilling hikes but also finding joy in exploring the mundane local supermarkets. Hi Thatchers, I’m a 25 yr old who started travelling as a teenager. From working my first job as a cashier as a teenager and saving everything to pay for a trip to India at 15, I have now travelled 16 countries, predominantly solo but also on group tours and with friends. When asked where my favourite place in the world I have to say the airplane and airports. I love the sense of unknown and the challenges that go with a different place.
