Lives in Vancouver, BC, Canada
Hi, Iโ€™m Charlotte ๐Ÿ‘‹ Iโ€™m a freelance travel writer, digital nomad, and former journalist from Reunion Island, France (bonjour!) now based in Vancouver, Canada. I create travel guides for a living, not just for Thatch ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿ’ป Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need my expertise. Over the years, Iโ€™ve moved around a lot. Jiun-Wei Lai
Lives in London, ่‹ฑๅœ‹
Hi, I am Jiun-Wei from Tainan, Taiwan. I have been living in the UK for around a year. Over the past year, I have traveled to 19 countries on the European continent with a backpack. Overall, I have visited nearly 35 countries around the world since I was a child. Old towns, atmosphere, local food in the alleyways, architecture, etc., always bring me inexplicable peace. While traveling, I also carry on my job to find a balance between my life and career. Especially working in a variety of places can give me more inspiration and sparks. Not only did I earn a bachelor's degree in Tourism and Culture in Taiwan, but I have just graduated with a Master's degree in Tourism Management from Bournemouth University. Meanwhile, I obtained the status of tour guide and tour leader. During the period of schooling, it fostered my deep interest in culture and history. Moreover, exploring and tasting delicious food worldwide is one of my interests. Hence, the itineraries and the advice I arrange and make for customers are planned around slow-based and historically significant sights and cuisine to provide an enjoyable but alternative travel experience in such a fast-paced society. I have a deeper understanding that each country has unique characteristics and culture after traveling to a number of countries. For instance, the most stunning scenery I have seen is in Iceland; the most mysterious country is Armenia; the place with unexpected scenery is Malta; the most impressive is Jordan, while the most friendly country is Taiwan. Hence, all of memories I gained makes me want to digitize the travel experience and share them more specifically. I hope to help people all over the world feels effortless to plan each of adventure by compiling travel experience into well-organized guidebooks and itineraries that contains my personal travel tips and advice!

Petra Udomprasert
Lives in Bangkok, Thailand
Hi! I'm Petra! Iโ€™m Thai, born and raised. My business is based in the US, but I call Thailand and South Korea my homes and have lived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for several months. From my years living in Thailand and my annual 2-month-long visits, I'm especially knowledgeable and up-to-date about Thailand, its trends, and its culture. What are the coolest things to see and do (not necessarily the most touristy ones!), where are the best places to find authentic food (places that say "authentic" are out of the question), and which hotels have the best service... I can give you all these insider-level tips! I've lived in the US since 2015. As a digital nomad, I don't have a city or state that I'm based in, but I know LA especially well having lived there permanently for 8 years. Another of my expertise is South Korea, Seoul specifically, and Korean culture and history in general. Having grown up learning the language and visiting so often (14 times and counting), I can comfortably count Seoul as my second home. And I can confidently give you the best insider tips to Seoul just as well as Thailand! My travel style is culture-based. I love having deep connections with the local culture and people wherever I visit. So you won't find beach clubs or nightclubs much among my recommendations. Basically, if it is something you can see and experience at home, I'm not recommending it!

Trina Phillips
Lives in Tamale, Ghana
Hi, Iโ€™m Trina, and I was bitten by the travel bug more than 30 years ago! I started exploring the world independently way back, and since 2017, Iโ€™ve been a full-time traveler, diving deep into the rich cultures of Southeast Asia (7 countries) and Africa (11 countries). Currently based in Tamale, Ghana, Iโ€™m all about experiencing destinations in a real, down-to-earth wayโ€”no luxury fluff, just genuine adventures. And starting in January 2025, Iโ€™ll be traveling overland from Ghana to Namibia in what I have creatively dubbed, Africa Tour 2025. My travel style? Comfort-budget. I stay in local spots that are as inexpensive as I can get and still be comfortable. I eat where the locals do and hop on public transport when it makes sense. However, I do slide up to mid-range now and again for an extra bit of comfort and for clients who prefer a softer stay. Whether youโ€™re looking for vibrant markets, hidden gems, or cultural hotspots, Iโ€™ve been there, done that, and am more than happy to pass along what Iโ€™ve learnedโ€”honestly and without the hype. Iโ€™m a big believer in being upfront. My guides and consultations come from real experiences, and I never recommend anything I wouldnโ€™t do myself. Youโ€™ll find my approach both informative and practical because I want you to have an incredible, stress-free trip. Whether youโ€™re tackling the lively streets of Accra or searching for unique experiences across Africa, Iโ€™ve got the insights to help you navigate it all. And letโ€™s not forget the creative side! I have a huge passion for arts and crafts, especially anything performance-related like drumming, so youโ€™ll often find those cultural highlights in my recommendations. My goal is simple: to help you have the best adventure possible, with all of the fun and none of the hassle. If youโ€™re looking for honest, practical advice from someone whoโ€™s been there and done that, Iโ€™d love to help you plan your next unforgettable journey!
